Love what Mike said 'Chester was unique and special. Emily is also unique and special.' They will never be exactly the same and that is a good thing but Emily's voice is a PERFECT fit for the sound and feel of Linkin Park. I love her voice with them. The concert was a beautiful balance between tribute to the origins and a launch into the new - well done in how it was handled. I cannot wait to hear what is to come. The band I fell head over heels in love with as an awkward troubled teen is here for me now. My only request is to keep the lyrics free of swearing like it was in the first decade. That gave me the permission (from my parents) to play it as loud as I wanted and sing along with all my might in my house where profanity was immediately switched off. You don't need to swear to get your message across and I would like to share Linkin Park with my kids to. Please if we can have that?

I personally can't wait ro hear the new/unreleased songs. Not many bands really survive or thrive when the singer changes, but the best way forward for those who have always seems to be about the new material they make together in thr new lineup. No massive band had a sound change greater than when Peter Green left Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks came on as a side chick to the person the band really wanted. The band went from sounding like BB King with Oh Well to sounding like Taylor Swift with Landslide. With the change, the old hits were gone, but the fans remained because the band still made music people wanted to hear.

I have been a fan since 2003, and man, I miss Chester and the emotions in his voice. He was able to sing every single emotion of that song because he felt something like this. And if I am honest, yes, I was confused when Emily sang his songs and kind of really sad that it ended up like this. Chester was special, and NO ONE will be like him, NEVER! Like Emily is special and no one can replace her (and every human being). But man, he wouldn't want us to just live in the past (never forget about him... sure), but never to stop listening to LP because of the new singer. It is like when you find the love of your life and she passes away and you find after some time the second love of your life.... It does not mean that you stop loving the first one. In your heart is enough space for different kinds of love ❤️❤. And I believe that the message of this band will remain the same. I'm a Linkin Park fan so is a friend of mine, but we have a very different reaction when Linkin Park made their return with Emily Armstrong, just when I enjoyed their comeback, he seemed rather disappointed, when I asked him, he said he just can't accept Linkin Park's songs in any voice other than Chester's voice, but at the same time he still respects Linkin Park & will never say any bad things about the band... He said & I quote... I just can't accept Emily Armstrong singing Linkin Park's songs, I still think it should be Chester & only Chester, but I still respect Joe, Dave, Brad & Mike, I still respect their decision to move on with their Linkin Park careers, I still respect their decision to appoint Emily as their vocalist, Linkin Park is their life, they can do whatever they want & appoint whoever vocalist they like, if you wanna enjoy From Zero, go ahead, be my guest, I still have my 7 previous Linkin Park albums, just let me enjoy my own Hybrid Theory - One More Light... I respect my friend for that, he might not be a true Linkin Park fan, or maybe he is a true Linkin Park fan, it's not up to me to comment on that, but one thing for sure, he's not a hater... To speak on all the criticism they are getting rn, this is a 'you can't please everybody' thing. If they were to put out all this new music under a different band name, people would say 'it's still linkin park but called something else'. To me, Linkin Park isn't just a group of specific band members. It's a sound. It's so much more than the band members. Just because a major part of that band dies or leaves, does not mean that band can no longer be. Plenty of bands have continued on. Linkin Park has every right to do it too

Emptiness machine really grew on me and I think Emily’s vocals are perfect for it. She can sing and she can scream pretty damn close to Chester. I’m all for it and I didn’t think I’d ever be ok with a female taking lead role In linkin park.

I had no idea LP was coming back and I jumped on youtube and randomly saw the concert posted online. It's very different but good. I'm getting used to it and I hope one day (soon) LP comes to Toronto. Never saw them live when they had Chester but definitely want to see them now.

When Chester died, I cried and cried. I watched this interview and cried. I watched the tour and Emily does sound like Chester with her screams and at times when she really gets into it but then at times she sounds like herself. I have nothing negative to say about Emily, she’s done amazing with her training and will continue to prosper with y’all. I am looking forward to y’all coming to Texas.

I’ve listened to Linkin Park for 20 years, Mike said he was surprised the fans came back, The true fans never went away, if anything, after Chester’s passing it drew me in more, the lyrics mean so much, the first time i heard this new song it was an instant Linkin Park track. Love it, Love Emily, i know she has a past, so did Chester, thats what made him the character he was, his past history gave his his soul. My world has spun upside down the last 3 days, ❤❤❤

Mike's smile during the livestream concert truly warmed my heart I'm so excited for this era of LP. I'm hoping so hard that a full North American leg of a tour happens so I can see them live out here in Wa! I have literally been so sad with the feeling that I'd never see them live. Now, knowing I have a chance makes me so happy! Wishing such a good time to those who get to go to the upcoming concerts. With Chester forever in my heart, love ya Linkin Park 😻

@@rilenixxI had access to the tickets for the us dates for presale, can’t go due to scheduling. They were not those prices for presale access. When I checked for general public the next day then they were those prices because they were “Verified RESALE” aka ppl reselling and scalpers. ✌️

It makes me sad how some people spread hatred and false info about Mike and call themselves LP fans! It reminds me of when Matthew Perry died , some people accused him and said he died cuz he did too much of drugs , but now we know he was killed. If you don't like new LP and Mike or Emily just don't listen to them and let it go , We are here for LP and could not be more proud of Mike ❤

Her voice is amazing. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that she's distanced herself from scientology, but until it's expressively stated it's going to be a shadow hanging over LP for me. Unfortunately scientology doesn’t exactly allow (ex)members to speak out against it without repercussions so we may never know.

I met Mike and Chester way back on the first tour and they were both very down to earth great guys. I have loved their music from the beginning. I am very happy to see Mike back and I don't discount Emilys talent and really like the new song, just not happy about her baggage. this could be very good or a band killer depending on the circumstance. i wish them all the best and hope they made a correct decision

@@crazywisdom2The singer from Mars Volta made a statement dragging her name through the mud. Saying she was a looney scientologist and she publicly supported Danny Masterson during his trial for rape allegations. It's better to read it for yourself, but that's the gist of it lol

@froststar113 ай бұрын
Yeah... atticus got the gist, but the scientology debacle actually goes pretty deep. If you're not aware, scientology is a really big problem - abuse, brainwashing, an equivalent of slavery, the whole shebang. It's a full on, dangerous cult, and it's responsible for a lot of pain and suffering - and Emily is second generation, born and raised, in the COS. This isn't casual, her parents work in high places. It's unclear (and unlikely to clear up anytime soon sadly, given the nature of the way the COS operates and what the consequences would be for her even if she wanted to speak out or even get out) whether or not she's a believer or a quiet leaver. But either way, there's quite a few red flags that need to be looked at and addressed with this. I'm all for giving her a chance as a vocalist, as a part of LP's new era. I loved the way she seems to fit into the band without replacing Chester. But this baggage is going to make or break the band's entire comeback, and I hate that. I just wish the best for them, and hope things work out with minimal fallout, so we can all enjoy the magic that is LP again
