a real journey when you first watch this video having no idea what mike is talking about all of the time and then, years later after you starting watching star trek yourself, you get at least 70% of the references

I watched, and enjoyed, all of this. Thank you!

This is like that Star Trek episode, where they take clips from other episodes. It was called Shades of Grey.

The bet in the end when Mike fiddles with nerdy start trek stuff - I watched the whole thing. Twice. It was oddly satisfying.

ive been waiting for something like this for a long time. Ive stolen his constant sidetracking thing, and use it in times where people need to be enlightened about Xena warrior princess.

I love that Simpsons where Lucy Lawless appears as herself at a Xena convention and comes up with the greatest explanation for continuity errors ever: "every time you see something like that, a wizard did it". And when the next question is about a continuity error she cuts them off with "A WIZARD!" and won't listen to the whole question. Ever read the online comic strip 8-Bit Theater? They had the wizard in question as one of the characters hiring them for sidequests later on. He was a deity level mage who would constantly fire off randomized spells, or alter reality in strange ways just for kicks. He once bragged "a day is really 36 hours long, but I shortened it to 24 so everyone has to rush around to get anything done". Kind of explains a lot doesn't it?

I genuinely enjoy all the Star Trek comparisons. And I think it's hilarious when everyone around acts all bothered by it. It reminds me of my own musings with my friends.

Jay's thorough annoyance whenever Mike brings up Star Trek on the shows, tells me that Mike does this all the time in their daily lives which is kinda adorable.

Mike Stoklasa loves doing laundry because the rinse cycle reminds him of that one Star Trek episode where the crew was trapped in this planet that resembled the Wild West.
