All your tractors look like a dream come true to this recently retired old fella! It's a little hard for me to imagine how big and heavy your fully loaded 84 foot air seeders are! When it can load down a huge tractor to 1.3 mph you know you are a pulling! Keep up the great videos = I watch them every morning!

Hi Mike, The 1050 at 1550 RPM is making 368HP at 18.4 GPH, which gives you a little more power to run at that 4.9 MPH. The engine isn't laboring so much and it sounds good. Been raining off & on here in Northern Illinois. The farmers this spring planted in dry soil and a very cool weather. I pray that you get some rain. Excellent videos that you put out and tell like it really is. Thanks Mike.

I just loved your JD shifting routine ;D But I totally agree with your stand on picking brands. I like to say "let the amateurs argue what brand is best. A pro will always make the one in his hands work". Also, it´s not just about the brand where I´m from. You need a good dealer too. This is usually more important around here. BTW, you guys are so cute I´m starting to worry about getting diabetes ;) Keep it up - those little sparks are so important :)

its a tractor for the European market,,, he knows better... his operation is the exception, not the rule. they need a 1000hp tractor that weighs 150,000lbs pulling a 150' drill... doesnt exist, and he knows it... its awesome he gives honest opinions, but those opinions are his, from his farm,,, which is not the norm.... no manufactures make what they need...

What does 4% setting mean? What is the difference bettwen 4% or maybe 14%?
@k.koster1008
@k.koster1008 3 жыл бұрын
4% means that the engine speed will drop by a maximum of 4% (plus 180 rpm). If the engine speed drops further, the transmission will slow down. At 14%, the engine will therefore a maximum of 14% (plus 180 rpm) decrease in rpm. The 180 rpm margin is there to have a stable control and a fixed fact. Normally the lower percentages (1-14) are for PTO work. And the higher percentages (14-30) are for pulling. Oddly enough, I expected the tractor to perform better at +/- 25%. I would complain at the AGCO dealer when I would be in Mike's shoes.
