Note the number of plates on the leg press guys... that's what drives the uppercut !!!!!!!
@williambarrantes1674 Жыл бұрын
I mean it wasn’t a lot of plates. What truly drives the uppercut is his control over his entire body, and the torque he creates by utilizing his legs, abs, back and arms at the perfect time to maximize power. He was literally squatting 225 which is not a lot for any man over like 180 pounds. But he’s not trying to lift heavy, he’s lifting to get better at boxing
@solar999 Жыл бұрын
@@williambarrantes1674 yeah this is what people gotta realize, hes not lifting for body building, to build that perfect body, or powerlifting, to lift the most weight, hes lifting specifically to improve at boxing so he doesnt really need heavy weights fr

Calisthenics is the same thing as lifting weights though. The weights are just your bodyweight, and potentially + weight. Try doing 20 dips or 20 pullups, and i mean strict. None of that quarter reps or swinging bullshit. If you can't, make that your goal and you will be jacked af compared to what you are now.

@Tigran Hakobyan absolutely not. The squat ROM demonstrated in this video by Mike allows for the use of the entire legs throughout the rep. Cheeks to Sneaks squats preferentially target quads when initiating the concentric motion from the bottom, thus making it more difficult since the leg muscles don't get to work in conjunction until out of the bottom.
