This interview was done 13 years after he first won the heavy weight title. People forget that. 13 years past his prime and still pretty decent boxer.

@@chadjones6313 You’re right and wrong at the same time. Mike’s best fighting years were ironically at the very beginning of his boxing career. Thats when he showed the most skillset, and was at his strongest mentally. Mike TooK OuT Micheal Spinks in under 2 minutes. Thats a highly underrated victory, especially for a 21-year-old kid. Micheal Spinks could’ve given the 90’s heavyweights a run for their money, probably beating most of them. Ironically, most of Mike’s detractors say Mike ducked / and would lose to most of the 90’s heavyweights, but Mike was in prison😂gtfo… Spinks was the first man to beat Larry Holmes, and no heavyweight from the 90’s is beating the Larry Holmes that Spinks beat. And Mike took both those men out in 5 rounds. Him being the face of boxing 13 years after he won the title even after inactivity, prison time, partying, hardly training, drugs, hoez, depression, and no family to his name, & Cus being dead, He was still the most feared boxer on the planet. Thats because his potential was so great, and he was merely anything of what he could’ve been. ( My name is Rosa, but I’m a guy )

He never peaked after the spinks fight in 88 he was getting better but wen he split with Kevin and got in with don king he lost focus and became undecplined if he stayed with Kevin n bill cayton he would have peaked bout 94 he would have been bout 28

@@johntaylor9825 its all about the fire and determination to continue to be the best, he got too cocky and lost his defense

You can see how much speed tyson lost from his early years in those short training clips. GOAT in his prime though.

He did not look in good shape at all. The writing was on the wall the day he went to jail. It made an EXTRAORDINARY fighter ORDINARY. Sad but true.
