Mike was the proverbial "animal backed into a corner" of fear, nothing more dangerous than that, he was so scared to let down the one man who had belief in him and backed him that fear gave the ultimate illusion of total confidence and resulted in total domination

Tyson was a savage in his prime no doubt. But when i saw the fights that he lost. Its like he gave up & lost his heart in mid fight...Tyson even admits that he was very scared ofcourse because of the mental, physical & sexual abuse he endured during his youth..majority of the fights that he domintated was because other fights where intimidated. The few fighters that didnt care & werent intimidated it took away some of Tyson's juice...Tyson was highly skilled ofcourse, but most of what feuled his Domination was high Testosterone, controlled Rage & intimidation tactics. Once that started wear off he wasnt the same at all. Even Teddy Atlas said this about him..Tyson is still one of the best fighters of all time & its great to see how enlightened he has become in old age.

Please expand on your understanding on mike Tyson's practice of projection, as in projecting the fear out to the world
@calebjohnson701 Жыл бұрын
Without Fear we wouldn’t be alive it prevents you from doing stupid dangerous things. As a fighter you don’t run from Fear you embrace it you use it to get out of the way of danger. You keep your focus on your opponent at all times do not get it twisted the man across from you is trying to knock your head off. And doing all this dancing foolishness during a fight that certain fighters like to do is just plain stupid. I don’t care how talented you are anyone can get knocked out.

1:40 It wasn't even close to his prime. Mikes prime was late 80's early 90's, that happened in 2002. Mike was past it then and got knocked out in the fight. The Holyfield fight was 96. How does Joe barely remember this stuff?

@taff6987 Жыл бұрын
Fuck that! I preferred it back then how it was. You knew the fight was coming but no social media shit. You just knew the date and made sure to stay up all night to watch the legend do his magic. When I look back to those much simpler times things were so much better, so much more REAL! Authenticity means everything to me! I can't stand this plastic fake world we are living in. Whenever joe talks about mike tyson he is so passionate about him
@miniman21323 жыл бұрын
Sort of to a fault though on this one. His passion isn’t doing any damage of course, but his opinion is flat out wrong .. Mike Tyson in the lead up to fighting Lennox Lewis had already been exposed as past him prime, and the way he acted was the actions of a bully. During one conference he walked over to Lewis and attacked him, Lewis stood his ground and cracked him with a punch, ever since then Tyson was scared. Tyson acting out was always out of fear. When he bit Holyfields ear off it wasn’t because he was a monster, it was because he was scared, he was losing, and he wanted out.

Greatest post fight interview OF ALL TIME NO DEBATE AT ALL! ANY OTHER ANSWER/OPTION IS WRONG!!! Dude is a hater too, immediately saying he has good writers. I'm almost entirely positive that he did not have that written for him at all, that came from the heart and spilled out of him so naturally and ferociously. That was no script, that was his ego, the spirit of legendary God of war, speaking through the mortal body of Mike Tyson 💯😂🔥 most feared fighter of all time, and people don't give him nearly enough credit for how intelligent he is. People assume he is a meat head because he is a boxer and his upbringing and drug use. But if you had heard him speak like this, or when he opens up to the media, you would know. This speech was all Tyson, I'm almost offended on his behalf that this dude thought otherwise 😂
