Each GDQ ramps up the awesome when it comes to Punch Out. Blindfolded MTPO one year and then blindfolded SPO the next and now dual MTPO and SPO. Next time it'd be dual MTPO and SPO blindfolded at the same time. Punch Out never ceases to amaze at these events.
@LooksLikeItsRaining6 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I love about GDQ. I don't follow these games, so when I watch a video, this is what I'm hoping for. An amazing runner and well-informed commentary, both letting me appreciate the skill and dedication of the runner, as well as the knowledge and mastery of the community behind these games. We get an excellent introduction to the workings of the game and what to pay attention to, and thus our minds are appropriately blown by the incredible feats of the runner. And it doesn't hurt that this challenge is pretty phenomenal! Masterful segment, GDQ
@kaseybrown76646 жыл бұрын
This was actually more intense to watch than an actual boxing match. In fact it was so inspirational that it makes me want to get my life together, go back to college and finish earning my degree! Thank you!

Also: the amount of improv needed in this run looks enormous. Massive respect. I think there's a lot of room in *GDQs for exhibitions like this over raw speed, and would like to see more runs dedicated to submissions like this in the future. Runs like this challenge more than just rote memorization; they challenge how well you really know the game, as sinister and Klaige both noted. One of the definite standouts over an overall somewhat 'meh' AGDQ.
@ryjelsum2 жыл бұрын
this is why i think the series of tetris grandmaster exhibitions they did over a couple of years is some of the best GDQ content

@KetsubanSolo Жыл бұрын
You can actually do it very easily yourself! If you buy a Brook Wingman SNES Adapter, you can plug in a buncha XBOX/Playstation/Switch controllers into it, and you can then connect it to both SNES and NES simultaneously. You may need an external power supply for wired controllers tho.

Even though I've never tried my hand at speed running, I find myself watching them more everyday. I initially thought the fans were being harsh with all the problems that surround you guys; now I'm starting to see why y'all get so much hate. Why make your videos DOUBLE the length of the run? I wonder if its because they make tons more money the longer their videos. Smfh
@ViddyOJames7 жыл бұрын
They're just using cuts from the live stream, but they're fucking atrocious cuts. Sometimes there's twenty minutes of prestream, sometimes it's not there but on the other side. none of it even matters because a bunch of these cuts even go in the middle of someone speaking, like reading out a donation. they don't give a shit and can't be bothered to start at the beginning and then put all the donation reading after the run and cut it without interrupting anyone.
@therealbradmo7 жыл бұрын
Can someone please break down exactly how the controller works? Please??
@gearsoverdusk73037 жыл бұрын
Basically, they spliced together the cordage for two controllers. The controller in his hand is a Super Nintendo Controller, so he was inputing all the commands with that, with cords spliced together for inputs to both systems.
@KetsubanSolo Жыл бұрын
Nowadays you can just plug a controller into a Brook Wingman SNES Adapter and plug one end into the SNES and the other into a NES.

Well, you have to realize that he's only doing that to sure make he's pulling off those frame perfect punches to get those quick TKOs, meaning you would have to remember each strategy for each boxer for each game. That's an amazing feat.
