Tyson was caught in a"perfect storm";if he stays outside,Lewis picks him apart with his insane reach advantage. When he'd draw close to destroy Lewis with an uppercut,Eddie Cotton ALLOWS Lewis to HUG Tyson to death!!!! There was NO way for Mike to win this bout!! 🤨

Lennox Lewis, the most underrated champion of all times. Both boxers belong undoubtedly to the goat. surprisingly, Lewis is a few months older than Tyson. Both were past their primes when they met, Tyson more than Lewis. I love to see this fight again after so many years. In these times, boxers concentrated on boxing. Today, some of them prefer talking rather than fighting.

Tyson was usually up against bigger opponents, it's just that he gained the title so young and had such early success ie winning most of the time in under five rounds that made it seem he was unstoppable. How can you be so blind? Anybody who knows Tyson's fighting abilities can clearly see that this was not Tyson. It was like he was under the influence of some drug that slowed him down and weakened him. He was clearly not himself. He was more like a drugged out zombie. The whole thing was likely rigged to ensure Lennox won.

@@evonnechi7029 This 'Drugged Out Zombie' as you've described him, regardless of his physical , or mental condition opted to take this fight anyway. There's no excuse for unpreparedness. Tyson would have lost this fight under any circumstances. Lennox was the better fighter period.

@evonnechi7029 2 жыл бұрын
@@darrylwilliams4301 yes, I am certain you believe that Lennox was the better fighter. But I am very familiar with Tyson and the way he fights. In his normal fighting form, Lennox would have been knocked out in the 3rd round. Something was very wrong with Tyson in this fight. And it wasn't age. Something was sucking the life out of him during the fight. I could see it in his face. It would be clear to anyone who paid attention. You can say and/or believe that Lennox was the better fighter, but it's just not true. Like I said, under normal conditions Tyson would have KO'd him by the 3rd round. Also, from my observation, it appears that the entire game plan for Lennox was to bear hug Tyson every few seconds to slow him down. It's cute that Lennox was so afraid of Tyson. But it looks like the entire fight was rigged to favor Lennox.

Interestingly, Lennox teams plan in round 1 was to stand and trade with Tyson, so as to hurt him and get respect. They knew they may not win round 1, but in standing his ground ground and hurting Mike, they showed to Mike that if He ever throws caution to the wind and attacks carelessly, He would pay for it. Smart plan really. If they didn't stand in round one, Tyson would have been less cautious in the mid/late rounds and may have been more of a threat

Lennox grew up in Kitchener, Ontario Canada. He tried to turn pro as a Canadian but Canadians wouldn't even back even an Olympic gold medal winning champ so Lennox did what was best for his career and having dual citizenship with the UK, he moved there to turn pro and get the financial backing I am ashamed to say as a Canadian, he couldn't find here. I'm sure Tyson in his prime would have won but that would mean that he'd be fighting a 17 yr old kid version of lennox lewis and that would just be... Not right lololol. I know everyone hates Lennox because he's too cowardly to take risks but look at the results? He's a pretty big winner and knew when to leave the industry before suffering life altering damages like Ali, forman, tyson etc etc... Sure it often makes for a boring fight but it is a tactic that wins. Instead of going hard for a knock down, just endure all 12 rounds while hitting more than getting hit and YOU WIN! All about the long game... Even if it doesn't result in a epic blood bath of chaotic action packed slug festing. Tyson literally lost this fight BECAUSE he didn't know when to quit. We get it champ! You're strong and one of the best fighters that there ever was. Maybe even THE best that there ever was. But that doesn't change the fact that you're no longer the best fighter currently. Not even close. Everyone has their golden years and their not so golden years. Yours passed already Tyson. Please don't hit me for saying that I like having teeth. Just being real lolz.

@@marksaguindel1903 Tyson fought everyone in his day. Lennox took until 1999 to take on holyfield... both were around and in the early 90s tyson was in jail for 3 years, 4 years plus inactive and still came out and fought holyfield before lennox. Anyone who thinks tyson was in still in his prime for this fight is on drugs. lennox was still the best at this point... by a long way.

My all time heavweight Mike was utterly outmatched by the well relaxed Lewis,whose extended and well targeted blows , not only prevented always Mike's lather blows, but inflicted staggering punches that my Mike could not endure til the end of the fight. First time, from all my favorites fights of him, prior to the meeting of the infamous Holyfield's fight, seeing him give himself to Lewis in a manner that was unprecedented in fighting career. Anyway, this is how boxing career goes: some days, it can be in your favor..... but at other times, in favor of your opponent as seen in this historical fight. But all in all, Tyson is one the game giants that ever made it attractive.

Kevin Rooney points out while with him Tyson wasn't just undefeated he through and landed more punches than anyone. Once he got with don king he became a two punch head hunter just trying to knock everyone out. Freddie roach points out that Tyson lost speed and reflexes doing 3 years in prison during the best years of his life. What if Lewis spent years doing drugs ,staying out parting, suffering to fame and drama. Tyson ruined himself out of the ring and wasn't even close to the same fighter he had been in his early career.

That was hard to watch of my Mike. As you all know when Mike was with Cuz he was the Warrior. He ate, slept and lived becoming a Champion and he did it. His mind and his body in unison just crushing people like a relentless terminator. The eye of the Tiger. In my mind seeing him in the 80s, and watching other great boxers he was the machine. Even George Foreman said he wanted no part of Tyson and Ali told him to stay away from him also. Tells you something right there. I'm very happy for him now that he survived his life and he's on solid ground and moving ahead.
