How can you be so blind? Anybody who knows Tyson's fighting abilities can clearly see that this was not Tyson. It was like he was under the influence of some drug that slowed him down and weakened him. He was clearly not himself. He was more like a drugged out zombie. The whole thing was likely rigged to ensure Lennox won.

@@darrylwilliams4301 yes, I am certain you believe that Lennox was the better fighter. But I am very familiar with Tyson and the way he fights. In his normal fighting form, Lennox would have been knocked out in the 3rd round. Something was very wrong with Tyson in this fight. And it wasn't age. Something was sucking the life out of him during the fight. I could see it in his face. It would be clear to anyone who paid attention. You can say and/or believe that Lennox was the better fighter, but it's just not true. Like I said, under normal conditions Tyson would have KO'd him by the 3rd round. Also, from my observation, it appears that the entire game plan for Lennox was to bear hug Tyson every few seconds to slow him down. It's cute that Lennox was so afraid of Tyson. But it looks like the entire fight was rigged to favor Lennox.
@quakers2002 жыл бұрын
Tyson was usually up against bigger opponents, it's just that he gained the title so young and had such early success ie winning most of the time in under five rounds that made it seem he was unstoppable. Interestingly, Lennox teams plan in round 1 was to stand and trade with Tyson, so as to hurt him and get respect. They knew they may not win round 1, but in standing his ground ground and hurting Mike, they showed to Mike that if He ever throws caution to the wind and attacks carelessly, He would pay for it. Smart plan really. If they didn't stand in round one, Tyson would have been less cautious in the mid/late rounds and may have been more of a threat

First time, from all my favorites fights of him, prior to the meeting of the infamous Holyfield's fight, seeing him give himself to Lewis in a manner that was unprecedented in fighting career. Anyway, this is how boxing career goes: some days, it can be in your favor..... but at other times, in favor of your opponent as seen in this historical fight. I'm sure Tyson in his prime would have won but that would mean that he'd be fighting a 17 yr old kid version of lennox lewis and that would just be... Not right lololol. I know everyone hates Lennox because he's too cowardly to take risks but look at the results? He's a pretty big winner and knew when to leave the industry before suffering life altering damages like Ali, forman, tyson etc etc... Sure it often makes for a boring fight but it is a tactic that wins. Instead of going hard for a knock down, just endure all 12 rounds while hitting more than getting hit and YOU WIN! All about the long game... Even if it doesn't result in a epic blood bath of chaotic action packed slug festing. Tyson literally lost this fight BECAUSE he didn't know when to quit. We get it champ! You're strong and one of the best fighters that there ever was. Maybe even THE best that there ever was. But that doesn't change the fact that you're no longer the best fighter currently. Not even close. Everyone has their golden years and their not so golden years. Yours passed already Tyson. Please don't hit me for saying that I like having teeth. Just being real lolz.

@musashidanmcgrath3 жыл бұрын
@Umb O Yes, it's a huge shame we never got to see his true potential. The Buster Douglas fight(which he technically won with the slow count) he was up half the night before the fight, with a group of Japanese girls, doing all sorts. He didn't even train properly for it. His corner was a mess. No camp. It was a joke really. As you said, he had no one looking out for him. That's why I think when Rooney left that was the last person in his life that cared about him and the last link to Cus. Tragic story, really, but yes, he has grown into a seemingly balanced man. He has people who care about him around him again. What a waste. He could have been the greatest.
@upshiftgaming57187 ай бұрын
In a perfect world, Tyson listened to Teddy. Tyson then develops using his right for spacing, rather than just killing. Also he could’ve found the right times to step in and not just try and take over pacing off rip. Which I feel like he was doing more of in what you’d say is his prime in our real world. In spite of the age difference, Tyson wasn’t disciplined.
