I admire Tyson, even adopted his peek a boo style when I was boxing since I’m only 5’7. I did pretty good winning golden gloves in Columbus, OH. However I did struggle with tall boxers who knew how to use there jab and caught me with upper cuts as I was coming in on the inside. I tell you it takes its toll from constantly moving side to side you get tired trying to get inside while they’re nice and relaxed using there height and reach. I hated fighting against that type of boxer it was a nightmare lol.

Great post.. I also used to box, but never to your standard. Your post strikes a note with me though, my mother was a great badminton player. And when I played on court with her as a child, she used to stay standing in the same place and have me running all over the place, exhausting me. It was a great lesson for me, in all aspects of life. Be cool and collected, and your life will be easier.

Tyson will be most remembered by casual boxing fans who don't really break down his early opponent list and realize they were just throwing him in the ring with chumps and washed up fighters to market him on pay-per-view. He's one of the great scams of the century. And let's face it - for some bizarre reason, men are turned on by hot men, and Tyson was just really hot in his early career, men fawned all over him.

It's not an excuse to say this fight should have happened in the 80s till early 90s & not when life itself had ruined Tyson.That said, nothing can be taken away from Lewis. Tyson's name is synonymous to boxing for a reason - he brought excited, speed & explosiveness- once that, will & direction from a proper trainer was gone, he didn't know what to do. Not to mention he was never really an HW cos of his size, yeah yeah yeah excuses I know but, c'mon, just look at his career, who has he ever fought that was his size?

Майк Тайсон- легендарный боксер. Но после выхода из тюрьмы, увы. Он был уже не тот Железный Майк, который крушил всех подряд.

Lennox is the best in history. There’s not one champion in history that Lennox couldn’t beat.

I tend to agree. I think he could have beaten Ali. He could move like Ali and technically was perfection. He also had the speed and power. A great package for a guy of his size. He held all 3 belts at the same time. I don't think any other heavyweight achieved that. He could take it too! A great fight would have been Lewis and Foreman!

@williammorton3359 I agree. Technically Lennox was the best heavyweight. Foreman was the hardest puncher so it would have been an interesting match. Power against boxing ability!
@AlJayWright

@@johnjoyce1958 you're talking about a guy who has 81 professional fights and only 4 losses. Foreman was a beast. Lenox said himself he was a clever boxer and wasn't just power. George was about timing. To say Lenox would dispatch him through skill is a ludicrous statement. The outcome of that fight is by no means a certainty
