I am watching Mike’s channel. He has very well-cared for animals and a varied plant selection. His planted tropical setups are really beautiful. It is sad that some people call him a pet tuber, as he is not. He has gotten into snakes recently too, which is good. You must also make a podcast with Reptiliatus, the other Canadian giant. SerpaDesign is also great at constructing and maintaining planted enclosures, and has a nice selection of good animals as well.

Yeah Mike has a great channel! I’m really looking forward to him getting more snakes as well. Both Reptiliatus and Serpa, are on my list of people to hopefully eventually get on the podcast 👌🏼

Catching up on back episodes. I think Barczyk's keeping in his Reptarium is fine and his expansion plans sound amazing. I still hear the old wheezes about sickly, dirty bug-ridden animals, but I really think it's BS gossip now. He's very open about his keeping conditions. I'm not a fan of industrial production/racks at all but I agree there's a place and specific purposes for it. I'd like to see it done more like Ed and Emily at SD keep theirs, with sanitizable enrichment items and clear/windowed bins as a minimum standard for rack systems. Thanks for the amazing interview with Mike. He's an interesting fellow. Keep up the good work!

Lol great episode. But where can you find an emerald tree boa for 300 dollars in the states? I have never seen them anywhere close to that cheap.

I remember that when I had my leopard gecko in a sterile setup (tile substrate) I would mist her enclosure every night until the humidity reached 50-60%.

Another channel I didn't know existed, and added to my list😁 Three of my vivs are doing really well with plants, but two are giving me headaches. My starred agama literally shreds anything I put in due to his claws and tail, so I've kinda settled on putting in grasses which dry out but still retain their shape. I've tried pothos and boston fern for my Asian jungle scorpion, but they keep dying due to the high humidity.

Mike has a great channel, glad I could introduce you to it! And yeah, I hear ya... I'm only about 70% successful with plants. One day I'd like to have more than just the standard "pothos" too haha but my snakes trample everything else

Concerning the Arcadia Jungle Dawn, would the 34" LED bar be right for a 48"x24"x24" PVC enclosure? I almost feel like it'll be too much light. I plan on having a lot of plants, but many won't be full sun plants.

The 34" LED is very bright and might be better suited for a taller enclosure. I have the 22" in a 36" L x 30" H enclosure for my day gecko and provides more than enough light!
