Never knew about this song but it really hit home for me. A guy singing about traditions handed down from father to son. His dad disappears out of the picture (alien metaphor here) and the only real thing handed down to him/he learned from the guy was to piss in a bottle. Super catchy tune too. Probably the greatest song I never knew about.

Whatever you want to say about music, it’s amazing to me how it works sometimes. I bought this album because of Evan Dando being on it...The Lemonheads were the second live show I ever saw, and this was near the tail end of their final, only peak...But I had no idea who the smiling bass player was, despite having heard the name Mike Watt before. This weekend I watched ‘We Jam Econo’, said a silent prayer for D Boon and extra wide mouth Mountain Dew bottles.

That's Mike Watt from The Minutemen and fIREHOSE on bass (which I hope he got back...heard some scumbags stole it) Joe Baiza from Saccharine Trust on lead guitar, Zander Schloss who played bass with the Circle Jerks and guitar in other outfits on rhythm guitar, Evan Dando from The Lemonheads on vocals and a Jack Black lookalike on drums. If you check out the album this is off of called Ball-Hog or Tugboat? you'll see there's an amazing cast of players and contributors throughout the album.
