If the prosperity gospel were true, it wouldn't matter who you give your money to so long as it goes to a Christian organization. That alone is proof it's a scam. If I need to give to God in order to be blessed, why must it go to one specific ministry? Shouldn't it be just as valid to give it to a missionary, a faith based community outreach program, a food bank, or even directly to those in need?

The thing about asking for tithes, alot of criticism would be way less. If Benny Hinn and others would direct the donations to Staint Jude' child hospital, the mercy ships and what about animal rescues also rescue missions. Instead of directing it just to themselves. And asking for anonymous donations with no tax credit for the donaters benefit(of course on the receivers end there are accountability protection sheilds needed). As far as the mass healing, there are guide lines; few get the healing, Luke 4:24-27, John 5:3-8. Even fewer show gratitude after the healings Luke 17:12-17. But there is a misconception about "once healed always healed" John 5:14. Reinhart Bonneche used to hold mass healings but the healings where directed more to the receiving of The Holy Spirit and no one will convince me he wasn't a Loving Man of God. So there are exceptions to the mass healings but super, supper rare.

There’s a difference between bad teachers/pastors and false teachers/pastors. False teachers/pastors draw people away from worshipping God and serving God as the only true and living God. Bad teachers/pastors still lead people to worshipping God but they maybe don’t have a gift of teaching or eisegesis too much.
