That was technically not his case. That one was given explicitly to Harvey by Jessica, but he gave it further to Mike. This case was the first one Mike got. It was a reward given by Louis.

Thing that gets me is this show had so much potential. If they had showcased Mike's crazy memory and centered it around that and the cases with some relationship stuff sprinkled in would have been great. The direction they took made it so convoluted and choppy I lost interest after a few episodes.
