Ooh! We haven’t tried pork congee yet, but the others are great! We love Thai food!! We even took a cooking class that we are working on a video for. The spicy is so good! 🤤☺️

The buses in Thailand were so confusing, but so much better than trying to drive in Bangkok. When we get back to Thailand in 2026, we are going to park outside the city. WHat did you think about the traffic in Chiang Mai? Cheers to your travels and channel. We are just getting started.

The busses were crazy there! We used Bolt a lot. It's like Uber or Grab, but we found it to be less expensive! The traffic in Chiang Mai was manageable. We drove a few times there to go do various things and it was completely fine. The drivers don't seem to be too crazy! We just had to get used to the driving on the left side of the road/right side of the car. Chiang Mai is amazing, and there is so much to do outside of the city that renting a car/motorbike really opens up your world! If you want any suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We spent one and a half months there and tried to do as much as possible, but still didn't see everything! Thank you for checking us out, and cheers and good luck to you as well! 😊✌️

@@mikeandashley We had considered a motorbike rental in a number of places in Asia where driving might be problematic. Do you think an e-bike would work? We could bring 2 of the foldable ones.

@@thegallivanthropologists Yea, I’ve got no experience with them, but I would have to imagine it would get the job done. When we rented cars, it was usually to go longer distances (like to Pai or Mon Jam from Chiang Rai) so I’m not sure they would work there? But motorbike rentals are anywhere from 150-300 baht per day, with the higher amounts for larger cc models. So they aren’t too expensive. I’m sure you can get weekly/monthly discounts depending on how long you’re going to be in an area. Around town, we walk everywhere unless it’s more than 2-3 miles away. Hope that helps! 😊

I really enjoy the videos, but may I make a suggestion please. I note that the audio level of the music is louder than the level of the speech. So if I set it comfortably for the music, I can barely hear what you are saying. But if I turn it up so I can hear you, the music is then a bit too loud. What you say is the most important part after all.

So far, the people are the best part about Thailand in general, but in Chiang Mai, everyone is so kind! The food is incredible too. But overall, we think the vibe here is lovely. A little bit more laid back, mountains in the distance. It’s all just so beautiful!
