Each of their songs has a hidden meaning based on a real event. In the song "Плак плак" (Boo Hoo), they refer to the rejection of the law on criminalization of domestic violence.

TY for reacting to this song/band.... as mentioned below the song is about domestic violence and how that affects the children in the relationship... it also touches on the upbringing of girls to be "good girls", she either shakes her head or her finger every time she sings obedient.... and not that my Russian is good by any means but Plak is not really well translated as crying.... is is more correctly translated as sobbing (like supressing your tears if that makes sense) Not that I have heard a lot of songs by them but the ones I have heard all have a strong message.... pouring kerosene all over yourself at the steps of the Kreml springs to mind.... next IC3PEAK concert may be in Gulag, Pussy Riot will also attend (joking if that is not obvious, but they are both banned and harassed in Russia by gov... however they have risen to cult status among the youth for the same reason)

Their songs are a bit out of the ordinary But check out their other songs as well.They talk about important issues mainly happening in Russia. Like about the war,the government and here in this song about D.V(Domestic violence) There song death no more talks about the government largely,and marching talks about the ongoing war.

I was waiting for them to talk about Putin and Russian politics ...... and it happened ..... I don't want to offend you, but in my opinion you are scarier than all the horrors in the IC3PEAK video. You are told that Russians are not like you, Putin is a crazy tyrant, and Russia is capable of crimes. All this will allow you to approve any restrictions imposed on Russia, or military actions against the Russians.

That’s where you’re wrong. We are wholly non-interventionist. We may not approve of Putin, or any other communist for that matter, but he is not our problem to “solve”. The Russians need to clean their own house, as should every country. And to your point about us being worse than Putin… he was KGB. I’m pretty sure he’s had many people murdered and tortured. Your ideas about the KGB and Putin are based on Western propaganda. But if you think that Putin is a communist, a murderer, a tyrant, or an aggressor, then how do you feel about the Russian population that votes for Putin? Do you think Russian zombie slaves?
