this song is like a "business card" of Wagakki Band. They showed each member's solo, like a self-introduction Please reaction [Sakura Rising - wagakki band ft. Amy lee] This song is about our joining hands to overcome this corona pandemic, although we are different in skin color, eye color, hair color, language, country culture, etc., but we are one thing in common is "people".

Wagakki Band is a world-class super-group of top-level talent. They put on the best shows. So amazing. Yuko Suzuhana is a goddess. Her voice is magical. She dances with sword and fan, too! She is also a wonderful piano player. Wagakki Band was her vision. She is a musical genius. Between Lovebites and Wagakki Band.... I have all I could ever want!

I'm glad you enjoyed Wagakki Band. I've been listening to them for just over a year now; it's been a wonderful journey. Their songs run the gamut of fast, heavy, slow, melodic, etc. They have one live video that actually brought me to tears with how wonderfully crafted it was. A fair number of their live videos are less songs and more performance pieces set to really good music.

So glad you came across the Wagakki Band. I had been meaning to suggest it, but kept getting distracted by shiny things. This band has provided a ytube-rabbit-hole for me that I just keep wandering down.

"Wagakki Band" is a band that plays "Wa" (unique to Japan) "Gakki" (instrument). Originally, it was a trio called "Hana Fu Getu" with leader Yuko Suzuhana (vocal keyboard), Daisuke Kaminaga (bamboo flute) and Kiyoshi Ibukuro (Japanese harp). Yuko Suzuhana, who had a sense of crisis about the decline of traditional Japanese culture, gathered top-class members who were active in various fields in order to let the general public know the goodness of Japanese musical instruments. Is "Wagakki Band".

Thanks for the info. Regrettably I came to know this extraordinarily amazing fusion band only recently and still don't know much about them. One thing I know is that they are the best fusion band in the world right now.

Well done guys. Another amazing Japanese band. Found them after Band Maid, Lovebites, Nemophila, Mary's Blood and Gacharic Spin. So different and they perform songs with Amy Lee of Evanescence.

The Wagakki Band is more than amazing. They have songs in almost all genres with influences from Japanese folk music. All members are masters of their instruments. WGB consists of: Yuko Suzuhana - shigin, vocals Machiya - guitar, vocals Beni Ninagawa - tsugaru shamisen (three string banjo thing) Kiyoshi Ibukuro - koto (horizontal harp, National Instrument) Asa - bass Daisuke Kaminaga - shakuhachi (bamboo Flute) Wasabi - drums Kurona - wadaiko (Traditional Drums) Since you have not heard WGB before so why not start with the beginning, "Senbozakura" from Premium Symphonic Night Vol.2 where Amy Lee is at the end of the song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6u8o59_Z9-kd5o&ab_channel=EvanescenceChannel

Welcome to vast Wagakki world. It was great for me see your pure interest to totally new music and sound. Amazingly they are very good at Metal, punk, western-JP fusion, swing jazz, normal Pops and more. They are all master class musicians. For instance, Shakuhachi, bamboo flute player, Daisuke is teaching at university. Funny, he is always rocking out in any concert! Assuming you might listen to a couple of more, It might be interesting for you to listen to somewhat separately western character and Japanese character one by one to understand each instrument tone, melody and their amazing musicianship. I recommend two song combination ; Chieni Kajitsu + Somosan Seppa. The former one is guitar-bass-drums very melodic Metal, and the latter one is by Shamisen(3 string no fret guitar), Shakuhachi(bamboo flute) and Taiko(JP drums) for thrilling traditional instrumental. And you still love them, Senbonzakura (1,000 cherry blossoms) a folk Metal punk of their biggest hit is very very enjoyable. Their live is “always” surpassing studio version. This is my criteria of a great band, while there are so many opposite ones.

Yes, the flute player catches the eye with his energy. This is a fun song, where each band member shines, but it doesn't give accurate perspective what the band can do. More time is needed. Hey, guys! I'm glad you've found the amazing Wagakki Band! I discovered them when Amy Lee visited, and they did "Bring Me To Life", in their style - SO cool! And then she helped them close the show on their big song - Senbonzakura. So I suggest both of those, later. Great job! 🤘😎👍

Thanks for Mike and Ginger for checking out WGB! If follow-up is somewhere in the pipeline, there are some good suggestions here already, like Bring Me to Life with Amy Lee which has great arrangement. Ignite is quite heavy with a metal feel and has a good MV; This is from band's own site, so no copyright strikes (with lyrics). kzbin.info/www/bejne/labboXunaM6hi6M As someone mentioned, singer Suzuhana Yuko does perform with sword and/or fan, like in this Kyougasuigestu + Tsukini sakebuyoru kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4jPfpZjpcd3mZo First part is an instrumental, second the song (with lyrics).

This song hakushu kassai means an explosion of applause. Because the phrase "kimini" (for You) precedes hakushu kassai often in the song, the best translation of the title would be "A Standing Ovation for You". It is a song of encouragement.

I'm sorry. There was a mistake in Shakuhati's description in the comments below. The description of Shakuhachi's name was incorrect. The old units of length in Japan are "Shaku" and "Sun". (The pronunciation of "sun" is like a shortened version of "soon") 1-shaku = 30.3cm (accidentally, the same as about 1 foot) 1-sun = 3.03cm And the average length of "SHAKUHATI" is "1-shaku and 8-sun (about 56cm)". The "shaku and 8" part became the name of the instrument.

I'm sorry for overlapping with other people's comments. About Wagakki Band's musical instruments By the way, "WA" means Japan. "GAKKI" means musical instrument. (1) Musical instruments like banjo Its name is "Shamisen". Player BENI is playing a type of shamisen called "Tsugaru shamisen". Shamisen is commonly used as an accompaniment instrument for soft and loose songs. However, Tsugaru shamisen music has a unique playing style that is aggressive, fast and powerful. Tsugaru shamisen was born in the frigid region north of Japan. There was a lower class (mainly visually impaired) who lived in a harsh natural environment. They made money from massages and playing music (women often sold sex). The Tsugaru shamisen playing style is said to be a sad art born to protect their lives. (2) A large, flat instrument of about 6 feet The name is "KOTO". There is an instrument called "SOW" in China. "KOTO" was introduced to Japan by "SOW" more than 1000 years ago. "KOTO" and "SOW" are similar in shape. The tones are also very similar. The main material is paulownia wood and the thread is silk thread. KOTO is an instrument often used in BGM in the scene of imagining Japan in movies and videos. (3) Japanese drums It is called "Wadaiko" in Japanese. "WA (Japan)" + "TAIKO (drum)" = "WATAIKO". Then, the pronunciation changes from "Wataiko" to "Wadaiko". There are various types of Japanese drums. There is a band called "Kodo" which is world famous as a Japanese drum performance group. If you have a chance, we recommend listening to the performance of "Kodo". In that case, it is best if there is a speaker that can reproduce deep bass. (4) Bamboo musical instrument like flute Its name is "Shakuhachi". "Shaku" is a unit of length used in old Japan. "Hachi" is number 8. The general size of this instrument was "8 shaku", so I named it as it is. The material is a thick and simple bamboo tube without reeds. It is an instrument whose sound is difficult to control because of its simplicity. It is said to be a particularly difficult instrument to learn among many "WAGAKKI". One month after a beginner starts practicing "Shakuhachi", he sometimes hears a story such as "I finally made the first sound". (From Japan)

"the warning" Mexican band, it is a mixture of rock and hard rock, there is another Mexican band this is heavy metal "jet jaguar band", young people from Cancun Mexico, they won first place in the 2017 Wacken Open Air Metal Battle in Germany (WOA 2017), from what I see Mexico, bands are emerging that do not want the rock and metal of yesteryear to die. @
