My four favorite bands right now are: Lovebites, Nemophila, Bandmaid and Wagakki Band. They're all very different and all amazing. There's something there to fit every mood I'm in.

I love Wagakki Band. This is the proof that a band can have more than 5 members and each one have time to shine individually and you won´t see anyone doing nothing *cof*slipknot*cof*. I can´t describe them with a word, cause they r just wonderful. Idk I like shakuhachi (Dai), Solos of Machiya, The groove of Asa, The melody of Yoshi, The "rivalry" between Kurona nd Wasabi: Wadaiko vs Drums, My love Beni and her maestry with Shamisen and Amaterasu, My godness Yuko with her voice: for me, best voice of a female.

Yuko is a goddess. No doubt about that!

Yeah, Wagakki Band is spectacular in every way. Top-level talent, all of them. Amazing shows. Hard to talk about one of them, without mentioning all of them. But Yuko Suzuhana..... what a goddess. Yuko and Asami are my two favorite female vocalists. Lovebites gives me the metal I want. Wagakki Band gives me everything else I could ever want. You should also check out the song: "Reload Dead". Beautiful vocal melodies on that one. WGB is just a hit-factory. Everything they do is on another level.

According to Machiya, their guitarist and sound engineer, it took almost 2 years to get the sound they were reaching for and the work they put into it shows. Yuko has her own group away from WGB as does Machiya and Asa (the bassist). Yuko also teaches at the Tokyo College of Music and others also teach. Beni (Shamisen) is considered one of the best if not the best on her Shamisen and has the National awards to prove it. Yoshiwara Lament was written and performed by Asa (Bassist) and was a big hit in Japan before he joined the band.
Thank you for the react Wagakki Band.😀 I love their hard rock music, but their ballads are also so good.👍 Please check it up !😉 Sabaku no komoriuta (Desert Lullaby), Gekkka bijin (Queen of the night), Overture, Okinotayu (Albatross)......etc.

"Senbonzakura" (1000 cherry blossoms) Is possibly their biggest hit, the song is taken from Vocaloid so it is actually a cover of Hatsune Miku. The song is about the westernization of Japan. The song before this was "Bring me to life" with Amy Lee. Premium Symphonic Night vol. 2 was a one night show only with about 16k spectators. "Hangeki no Yaiba" (Counter Blade) from their 2nd album "Yasou Emaki" (2015) written by Machiya. Daishinnenkai 2018 (New Year's party) is one of their best concerts to date. If you want to experience them live, you have to be on time. Tickets will be torn away the first hour after they become available. "Nadeshikozakura" (Pink Cherry Blossoms) also from their 2nd album written by Yuko. here from React tour 2019. "Sun Wheel" (Nichirin) from their latest album "Tokyo singing" 2020 written by Machiya. This is from the Tokyo singing tour 2020 and if I am not mistaken it is the first time they perform Sun Wheel live. "Yoshiwara Lament" was also written for Vocaloid by Bassist Asa before joining the Wagakki Band. The song was already a hit before he joined the Wagakki band. The song is based on a short story about a young girl who was kidnapped and sold to a brothel in Yoshiwara (Tokyo's red district). I'm not sure but I think a world tour is just around the corner. They had an 8 year anniversary last year, which from what I have heard was planned as one.

Such musicianship and intricacy. These are not just professionals, but the traditional players (as well as the lead) are the tip of the spear in their respective disciplines - national competition winners or national representatives and the like. An Avengers Assembled, if there ever was one.

Thanks for this reaction marathon hehe. This is one of my favourite Japanese bands and I do agree, the only way to get the full experience is to see them live. They do put on so much of a show that you would have to be in the venue on the night to grasp all of it, and even then there's so much going on that you'll probably miss some of it lol.

For me both the collaborations i have seen with Amy Lee, were a once only experience, so I skipped the first song of The Wagakki Band Bowl. The second song, is a great example of you saying you have to experience the band live. If anything, with all the additional dancers, it was visual overload to the maximum as I find The Wagakki Band on their own, can be overwhelming visually. The third song is a lesson in top quality professional musicianship. Suzuhana's vocal skill being demonstrated when singing in the shigin style and the subtleness of all the different instruments blending together. No three chord wonders here! The fourth song is a way of seeing all of The Wagakki Band enjoying their craft. No looking at the floor for them, stuck in one position. With the video edits we see here, it makes you wonder just how much else goes on that the editor can't hope to show? Repeating again, what you said about experiencing them live. To see The Wagakki Band live, I would be in total control of my faculty's, not zonked out, relaxed and blase' to what is going on in front of me. Still, each to their own, you eat your steak, stoned out of your box like you are at various points during every week. What a dumb way to experience seeing The Waggaki band live. The roach clip, was a fun song to listen to and dance along with the poppy rhythm. Thanks to OOBY, for putting together this bowl and you both for enjoying it and promoting The Wagakki band.

I totally agree. If I was at a WGB show.... they would have my FULL ATTENTION the entire time. I wouldn't want to miss a second of it! It would be a life-changing experience for me.

@@TheCyberMantis Yes. As with BabyMetal, I would love to see them twice. Once at a large venue. Seated in the closest balcony to the stage where you get the full view of the entire stage, video screens, lighting, special effects etc. The second time in a small venue, on the floor. The experience would be physical as much as mental. 😄
