Wagakki Band holds a large-scale New Year's party live concert at the beginning of January every year under the guise of celebrating the New Year with their fans. In this live, not only the performance of the song, but also entertainment is performed, and the focus is on enjoying it with the audience. "Hakushukassai" (applause) is a cheering song for listeners.

What is the traditional dulcimer called? I know the shamisen/koto is the banjo-like instrument, but i never knew there was a traditional dulcimer-like Japanese instrument….
@KrPa97812 жыл бұрын
You mean the laying string instrument? Its called the Koto like you said the banjo-like instrument is the Tsugaru Shamisen, the flute is a Shakuhachi and the traditional drums are called Taiko/Wadaiko.

@@KrPa9781 Hakushu Kassai = Applause Tsugaru refers to the style of play and the area from which it originates. Beni is most likely playing a Shamisen called Futozao. It is slightly larger and has a longer and thicker neck. Futozao is commonly used for tsugaru style or gidayu style.

@@DrAcula-os1nz oh ok, maybe now she uses another playing style but im sure in the older interviews she said herself she uses a Tsugaru shamisen.

I think that what you call a dulcimer is probably a "koto". Unlike the dulcimer, which is struck with wooden drumsticks, the koto is a musical instrument that produces sound by being plucked with finger picks. It came to Japan from ancient China around the 8th century. The koto used in concerts is a custom-made product with an increased number of strings in order to match the musical scale of Western music.
