Thank you Mike - I wanted to learn the right way to play this song by "Bad Company" as recorded and not just doing my own thing. I just subscribed to your channel.

Cool! Although this isn’t exactly “as recorded” - it’s the arrangement from the Trinity Rock and Pop Grade 4 book, and while it has the same overall feel, it does have some differences from the original. Cheers!

Cheers Diya! These videos are demos of Trinity Rock and Pop grade songs from the Trinity songbooks, recorded as a reference for my students and others who are learning these for their drum exams. All tempos are listed in the book at the start of each song. Cheers! Thanks for watching :)

Again Right on! I see your reading, I don’t read,I’m all ears so it’s not quite as accurate,however watching and grabbing the crash hits is wonderful. The Only difference is I roll on the snare when you roll on the FL Tom. But that’s cool preference is a freedom of your expression. You Rock thx again for the Wisdom!

Thanks Joesph. These videos are demos of these pieces as they appear in the Trinity Rock and Pop Grade books, and I record them as a reference for my students (and others) who are learning these pieces for their grade exams. Hence I'm reading them. The arrangements of the songs and drum parts quite often vary from the originals. Cheers and thanks for watching :)

As per nomal drag: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kGGqfK2gjp2BbJY&pp=ygUXbWlrZSBiYXJuZXMgZHJ1bXMgZHJhZ3M%3D - but lazier! Bit more open (further apart with the grace notes).

Hi Mike, The drum fill at 1:07 is it 1 hit on hi hat 4 hits on the snare then 2 hits tom 1, 2 hits tom 2, 2 hits tom 3 followed by crash cymbal with kick x2 This similar fill comes right near the end of the song as well.
@MikeBarnesDrums6 жыл бұрын
Hi Wade, thanks for watching. Almost! - It's three snare hits after the hi-hat with kick, then around the kit as you describe. It's also written out in the book, of course! All the best.

Hey Mike! How to turn the page, in such a short gap?
@MikeBarnesDrums3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, don’t do what I did here! 😂 I always think, in order of preference... 1) learn the part off by heart, so you don’t need to worry about looking at the book, let alone turning the pages. 2) Photocopy the relevant pages to avoid page turns. 3) Arrange ahead of time where the page turn will come and execute it without it affecting the part you play. Cheers!

@MikeBarnesDrums6 жыл бұрын
ANDRO DOWS That’s a pity - What country are you in? No I can’t send you Trinity material, only Trinity can/should do that. Have you asked if they can send you digital versions? If not - no big deal, syllabus isn’t active until 2018 anyway. If you desperately want to prepare for an exam as soon as possible, the old syllabus is still active and will be until the end of 2018. Cheers!
