Been watching and learning from this channel for 3 years, and only just discovered this upload. Great for me, as I'm currently stuck at home nursing a detached retina. But on the up side, I've got lots of learning time - this is great!

Thank you Tony. There's another part to this which I'll post in the next week. I'd LOVE to travel round the country making films about peoples styles. Trouble is I have to make it earn a living, and I'm not sure if it would be popular enough. If anyone else would like me to do as Tony suggests please like this post. - Best wishes.. Mike

I've been watching your videos for a long time, Mike. I've never commented before but felt like I had to. Amazing tips and you've made me into the photographer I am today with your natural teaching talent and skills. What would have made the flower shot even more dynamic is spraying it with some bottled water to add an even more beautiful effect. That's what I would have done but that's really the beauty of photography. There's no right or wrong and it's about the artists vision. Thanks, Mike!

Wonderful video!!! I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to get started shooting inside, especially flowers. I’m easily overwhelmed, and so many of the books and other videos make it too expensive and complicated. A very nice photographer friend has been helping me, and has actually told me about similar ideas, but seeing it in a video is just what I needed!!!

Love Peter's style and really enjoyed this approach. I'm with Tony on this, I'd love to see more amateurs demonstrating great techniques without necessarily using high end kit. More macro please! Maybe a water droplet photography tutorial?

Love the concept of budget setups, being a keen diyer/woodworker I am thinking of a slightly more robust approach that’s got portability but this has gave me some ideas. Kudos to peter for his imagination though with k’nex.....it finally has a purpose haha

You can use any lens provided it will allow you to get close enough to fill the frame and still focus. Or you can buy a set of close up filters. Have a look at /watch?v=HT2IIijxwFs which explains all about them.

very good video and as once again it proves the old saying of KISS, keep it simple stupid, i would have liked to see a few more of Peters pictures but it gave me food for thought, perhaps you could travel the country reporting from peoples from rooms on their photo style and innovations. carry on the good work Mike

not sure how it would look, but on the backdrops, rather than having to keep up with the papers, how would a small computer monitor be for changing the colors and backgrounds? not sure how that would react on the camera...

Yet another great simple to understand video ,thanks again Mike . Only criticism was I personally found the video work during the first 5 mins really hard to follow without getting blurred vision! Maybe a slightly panned out shot of the whole room would have been better? Sorry to be a PITA ( pain in the arse) but I just wanted you to know for future videos Great work ! :)

Unfortunately I am not too young, Velvia film was produced by Fujifilm and was a favourite of landscape photographers due to its ability to make greens and blues appear vivid almost over saturated. Mike will probably correct me but I think it was available in 100asa, 200asa and 400??
