the reason why Dean went hostile on you, is that you did a speech check when you first met him (50 Explosion), even then you could've easily messed it up again after you escort him to his location. Dean's pretty Sensitive out of all the Companions on the DLC. the only way to save him is to play nice with him, until you reach the Casino.

It's worth it to keep him alive until the final confrontation with Elijah. If I remember correctly he'll either hack the radio transmitters to allow you more freedom of movement, or shut down the turrets that Elijah trains on you. That being said: I've only ever beaten Dead Money once, with a character specifically made to beat it and after reading a full walkthrough. So I'm by no means an expert.

It's the barter check that turns him on you, or if you are rude to him at his Gala task. I made that mistake and it cost me a Steam achievement. Granted karma would catch up to him if he got to the vault first.

Zach Bartolo Technically the mold cloud is more or less the reason the Sierra Madre is the way it is. According to the lore, Dean would’ve been out of the picture one way or the other, long before if the cloud wasn’t around to get in the way of everyone’s plans after the bombs fell.

Dead Money has a great story, with great themes, a great setting and most importantly feels like a fallout story with no grand stakes. The only problem is the survival horror angle, if you could take your own equipment into the dlc it would probably be the best dlc. Lonesome Road has hard enemies aswell but that dlc doesn't get nearly the flack/division that Dead Money does.

Yes, I know this is an old video also one other thing you learn after reading all the terminals in the villa you learn that Dean setup everything and I mean everything to get into the vault this includes removing christens voice... basically he shoved her into the auto doc so that it would play Vera's voice in order to enter the vault yeah he's a real bastard and I almost always kill him. Also, I always try to combine dog and god into one and also never force Christine into elevator. One, thing you might not know Zach is Christine is a lesbian that's why she wants to wait to kill father Elijah because he caused the brother hood to tare it's self appart and Christine was forced to chase after him in turn forcing her relationship with Veronica to sour because she now has a job to accomplish. It really is too bad you can't tell Veronica about her when you return to the Mojave desert. I'm pretty sure though there might be a mod for that now though.

Zach hasn't figured out who Christine is, has he? And it's a pity he didn't realize the full history with Dean. Yes, he introduced Vera to Sinclair, just to use her to help rob Sinclair. Yes, he blackmailed her. He blackmailed her with the secret of her Med-X addiction, but if you examine Vera's files and medical history, you see that she was using Med-X to cope with a terminal disease. Oh, and Dean is the one who forced Christine into the auto-doc and transplanted her vocalcords. I don't think the Vera holograms talked on my playthrough. Is that cut content that was restored by a mod? And the Auto Doc? It removed my rads, watch was a problem since I have Rad Child. (Rad Child is a perk that causes you to constantly regrate HP as long as you have radiation sickness. I keep myself between 200 and 400 rads.)

As many of you may remember, back in 2018 Microsoft bought Obsidian, the studio that brought us New Vegas. Which means, Ladies and Gentlemen, we may finally be getting an announcement for another Fallout: New Vegas game in the coming years.

I don't think it's _Dead Money_ itself, I think it's the characters in it -- which is a not-insignificant distinction, since most/all of them are too blinded by their own flaws to realize the Courier isn't like them and couldn't care less about the Madre.

And it's not just the NPCs, it's the Courier, too, because there is *never* a dialogue option to the contrary. You never get to say something like "I don't care about the casino, I just want to survive this." Really, the problem is the writers, who didn't think of any other motives. They just shoehorned the player into a motive and path.

why Zach hate using VATS lol when he complained it's hard to shoot while using controller??? it's better to use Just Assorted Mods so Zach can use those AP meter for slow-mo bullet time if if doesn't want to use VATS during combat. It works fine with controller on couch..
