I like your rationale at the end. I ride with a group of guys that only think bigger is better. They obviously can’t ride as well without a 1100cc monster. I also find they most of them are fairly novice riders without the pain to their body or wallet that comes with bigger bikes. I have been riding for 30 years and now find myself moving toward these smaller bikes. They offer a huge amount of fun and confidence out of the box at a low price of entry. My kids are also just getting into dirt bikes and these are the perfect trail bike for that purpose. Thanks for the content.

I bought my son xpro sail 150. Same bike no lights. We have modified cdi box, front sproket 16th, rear shock adjustable rebound/preload dhm, thicker fork oil, ported cylinder head myself. Z40 big cam, ported exhaust header and muffler gutted, Dunlop mx34 tires, renthal kx high bend bars, nibbi pe24 carb, iridium spark plug is cut, hour rpm counter. Only have had to replace hand grip, handle bar, clutch and brakelevers. We have 25hrs on it. Great bike for anyone mechanical. Would highly recommend. Thank you for your content. Btw in wa too 😀

Just found your channel. I can tell you what, raced motocross back in the late 70s, restored many old ct70s and ct90s back 15 years ago, been a mechanic my whole life (retired Alaska Airlines mechanic) and you got it figured out when it comes to dirt bikes. And dam you rip in the woods! ( You would probably really rip on a real motorcycle, just kidding). I actually put a china lifan 125 in one of my last ct70s retores. Put a 17T on it with the RK chain I always normally buy and it's crazy fast. Use it to burn up dirt roads in Alaska. Turns a lot of heads. Been searching for a fun pit bike. Was thinking of a klx300 but I like the small stuff. Thanks for making these great videos. I get teased about my bike selection also, it's fine.

Have to chuckle when you say about the difference between the 14 and 15t front sprockets. I have an XT250 Yamaha that I find is much better with the 14t in the woods. Did it for decades on nearly all my dual sports and on my 400cc CZ motocross bike. Amazing low end and hill climbing ability compared to my friends with similar bikes. That said, since I'm older ( much older ) a bike that's around 100 lbs lighter than the XT is of great interest for milder riding. Too bad a 190cc isn't offered in the same frame, some of which I believe has around 19hp. That would be really interesting.. My XT would be a totally different bike if it shed 100 lbs.. Thanks for experimenting with it and looking forward to future results..

I've put the Nibbi 22 on it and it really woke it up. Jetting the nibbi is a little challenging though. Stock was fine and lean, but i also wanted some more adjustments that the Nibbi has. I also have gas gas mc 450, ktm 300exc, kx250f, TLR200's, trail 110, 0:16 and a Rokon. People don't realize these small bikes have their place. Much of the single track i ride you have a hard time on with a heavy bike. Keep making these good videos.

Thanks for the vids on the x pro bikes! Great video that goes into quite a bit of detail. If you were to only buy one for the trails, would you pick the 250 over this 150? I'm not looking for a lot of power, just a fun trail bike that I can ride through town to get to some trails that are about 5 miles out. The idea of a 180 lb bike sounds great to chuck around. But I'm wondering if the higher price tag is worth getting the 250, not for the power, but possibly the suspension being a bit more capable? FYI My last dual sport was a KTM at about 270-280lbs.
@Mikefestiva6 ай бұрын
This bike is a lot of fun for around the property and some short distance rides but it’s definitely lacking on higher speeds being a 150. The Templar is a better option if you plan on riding around for transportation and trail riding, the Templar is about 250LBs so it’s definitely a bit heavier. All and all I prefer the 150 when I ride with my son and tight trail riding, the 250 is better for road riding and does really well on the trails as well.
