Thanks for the video. You may want to do an update if possible to show the hardware connections that need to be done (cable from SEND 1 to INPUT B, cable from Send 2 to INPUT C, etc.) in order to do this, as you didn't mention that part at all. I can see some people getting really confused by this. 😉

So many younger people these days that maybe got started with computer recording are used to almost all connections being virtual ("in the box") and may not realize it requires external connections. It's the kind of thing that is second nature to us older folks who started on cassette 4-tracks (or reel to reels), but many youngins aren't quite as practiced in that. 😁

2:26, you are not looking at Track D. Look at the display again: that is Input D. Terminology matters. There are no "channels" on the Digital Portastudios. It is very confusing when you refer to channels because no one knows if you mean inputs or tracks. Of course the inputs are available during mixdown (if they are assigned to the Stereo Bus). This is well explained in the user manual. This is how to bring the returns from outboard FX into the mix. Elementary. For those of us with the original units with MIDI, we've been bringing those MIDI device inputs into the mix since the first DP machines were released. The inputs are not acting as "tracks" but I can see how a non-recording engineer would view them that way. You can properly refer to them as extra "sources" during the mix.

Thank you for your input. I see you've been doing this for a long time (much longer than I have). I did see that you've made two videos and I do try to not make mistakes, but they do happen as I'm going through stuff. You are correct as well, I am not a trained studio engineer and I don't always use the correct terminology. Your input is welcome and I will try better going forward.
