Hi mike, I'm a long time viewer and I wanted to say. I'm from Finland and my service starts in 6 weeks at the fin-rus border. We are not afraid, the whole nation is ready. I haven't heard a single male complain about how afraid they are that Russia might attack. Remember we have been preparing for this for over 40 years. Russia might say whatever but they will never conquer us, we are just better prepared and trained.

My worry about the m250 is that the total weight with 400 rounds is actually heavier than the m249 with 600 rounds. And the 250 doesn't accept box mags the way the 249 can, which is probably a rare need but it's something

Hi, there was reference to Finland and Sweden and their Nato application process. I would just say that Finland is quite a different case than Ukraine. There's deep cultural, political and historical differences. For one, Finland has not been neutral since the 90s when Finland joined European Union. And for many years Finnish, Swedish and Nato militaries have been conducting quite close co-operation. And Vladimir Putin just recently said publicly that Russia does not have a problem with Finland and Sweden. But he also said if I recollect correctly that the steps Russia takes to counter Nato enlargement depends on how much Nato infrastructure there will be in Finland and Sweden. So Finland and Sweden becoming a member don't mean a third world war. It's possible that it's just not that big of a step. And it's not a big surprise to Russia. But for me personally, as a Finnish guy, I still understand people who want to stay out of Nato. Staying out would still give Finland room to maneuver in this geopolitical space. But I still think Nato membership probably is least worse option for Finland. But who knows how things will go in the future. Anyways, Nato's eastern border is in the Baltics. And Baltic states are weak militarily. So from Nato's perspective Finland and Sweden becoming a member will absolutely strengthen the alliance because of the capabilities they bring. Finland's population is small, but Finland is not weak militarily. Finland and Sweden are also so tightly "western countries" by their morals, values and political systems that deciding to leave them out would send a strange signal that could probably be interpreted as weakness, especially when Swe & Fin are already in European Union with mutual security assurance articles from EU.

The "by the book" M4 weighs in (on paper) at 6.49lbs- but that's with iron sights and a slick forearm. My M4 weighed a lot more because I had a KAC rail system, ACOG, PEQ4, Surefire 952, GripPod foregrip and a spare magazine (attached to the stock) on it. Pretty sure it weighed closer to 11-12lbs.
@jeanvaljean3412 жыл бұрын
how much it weigh with grenade launcher?
@tmmccormick862 жыл бұрын
@@jeanvaljean341 about 13.5-14. I weighed the carbine I have at home, set up like the one I used in Iraq, but with a lighter rail and without a PEQ, and it weighs 10.2lbs. PEQ and KAC rail would definitely put the weight of the rifle at 11+. An M203 weighs 3lbs, the M320 3.3; they're just bolt-ons to the rail now instead of needing a dedicated forend and barrel mounts. My SAW had the Mk48 kit and weighed around 22-23lbs loaded, so the M250 is about half that, which is amazing.
@jeanvaljean3412 жыл бұрын
@@tmmccormick86 14lbs is too much rifle. Your better off carrying the 320 on your back m79 style

@@jeanvaljean341 which we started doing, as that became an option. But my first deployment was in 2006, and we didn't have the M320 yet, so a Rifleman or TL carried an 11lb weapon, a Grenadier carried a 14lb weapon, and the SAW man carried a 25-ish lb weapon. Compared to that, the XM5/XM250 weight of 8.3lb/12lb (which I believe includes the optic and suppressor) is an improvement.

I'd find a neighbor or friend who is stoked to help out when you travel. there are lots of people who want to learn homesteading, and if there are other homesteaders in your area, most are happy to help each other out. find some kind of exchange that's a win-win.

It’s unfortunate to see the reality of Mike hitting the wall of pay to win in the motor sports arena. My father in law has ben racing Baja since the 80’s. I went down to Ensenada to help chase in 2018 for the 1000 and noticed the amount of money that was spent on the other teams cars compared to my father in laws. I asked my father in law about how Baja was in the past and he said it was average joes who built their own cars and brought them down to race. If I have one piece of encouragement from the parallel between big Motorsports and the tactical world it appears that Mike is in the “80’s” today that motorsports were back then. His creation of Field Craft is the start of the large modern day motorsports company but in the tactical world. Hope you read this and keep grinding.

I just want this looked at objectively unfortunately if we're using media sources we're not getting the full picture of the full international law scheme and scope. I would also remind people that in the past even with Iraq and other countries where we've had conflicts or other countries have had conflicts there's a clear demarcation between Commerce and War and for some reason these embargoes now are being pushed into the arena of War where commercial interests in regard to international law with embargoes are not being respected. They are also not being respected by Russia. Stopping the flow of food and energy through an embargo is strictly illegal in international law but it has been done before such as the case with the Nixon Administration in china.

That is not true there was lots of treaties in agreements on the land in eastern Ukraine that seated protectorate powers to Russia in fact they've had a legal claim over that land which is recognized but the United Nations prior to the United Nations existence going back to the late 1800s. And that is just one of the legal issues and legal claims internationally and in international law that supports some of their position although I'm not arguing that they are in a very good position and I'm also not arguing that they do not have an empirical motive meaning that of building up their Russian empire. For sure they have that as a motive.

@MalaklypsetheElder2 жыл бұрын
I don't disagree with most your assessments but on the Russia thing in Finland I will disagree with you because I don't think this is being put in proper historical context. Finland has been a neutral Nation since World War II which has given it a position of neutrality and that of a buffer zone between the former Soviet Union and the rest of NATO packed or native member state countries. Ukraine is also a neutral country in regard to Nato and former Soviet States and Russia and has acted as another buffer in fact the United States state department has acknowledged that Ukraine in the past was a buffer zone between NATO or NATO member State countries in Europe and the former Soviet block countries and russia. I'm not advocating for Putin in his strategies or their geopolitical Outlook and their plans cuz obviously they have plans of their own and they probably don't coincide with us or American interests what I will say is if you take away buffer zones on purpose, you offer native membership to these countries prior to the military operations that began and Ukraine in February and March you're kind of pushing it in that direction. That's exactly what the United States state department and NATO High command in Belgium is doing they're pushing this in a certain direction so I just want to make sure people are applying guilt correctly to all parties who are guilty. NATO has a role in this as does the US has those Britain as those Poland ask those other countries and they are all along with Russia and the failed puppet government leadership in Ukraine pushing this in a direction. Our own government is pushing us into World War 3. Now there's a long laundry list of other grievances real or imagined some of which I think are legitimate that Russia has with eastern Ukraine us and NATO funded facilities in Ukraine and various activities that have taken place there as well as Poland's interest in regaining land in Western Ukraine but no one's talking about that they had prior to World War i. There is also the little problem of the antagonism and Civil War and low intensity conflict that's been going on on both sides in eastern Ukraine between Ukrainian militia forces no doubt at the behest of various oligarchs and Ukrainian government and Russian intelligence forces or counterinsurgency forces or whomever who have been stoking that Civil War conflict. And 80% ethnic Russian population in the Eastern areas of Ukraine is not a nonmotive for Russia's interest just so we're clear on that as well. Ukraine is largely one of those make believe countries like Belgium that did not exist before World War so you've got a lot of stuff going on there just like the Brits did with Iraq, a make believe country that did not exist before a major conflict but then was set up by a colonial Imperial power carved out of various tribes and whatnot, so you've got a lot of stuff going on here that needs to be looked at in the context of geopolitics and history.
