First: thank you for helping with Total Commander. Second: 11:36 There is more fast way to open a project by Total Commander shortcut. Open an arbitrary file or folder in IntelliJ IDEA from the command line, optionally specifying where to place the caret after opening. idea64.exe [--line ] [--column ] . So: Command: bla-bla\idea64.exe Parameter:. This will start IDEA from current directory. p.s. I don't understand what "Start path" means therefore I don't use it at all. upd idea64.exe works bad with "." argument as "current dir" and opens project with name '.'. The better solution is to add [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell\Idea here\command] @="\"C:\\Users\\User\\ideaIU-2020.1.windows\\bin\\idea64.exe\" %V"

TC is amazing. I have used it since Windows 98 for backing up and moving data - files, folders. I have maintained my archives for years wirh this. But I also used it to organize my various coding projects for which this is to keep track of files that are being edited abd changed.

Thanks for sharing. I'm actually not handling files that often and I tend to use windows + E and then open the explorer. I wish MS would have a more professional option than the built in file explorer. Maybe a Total Commander remake.

I've watched a few WExplorer options videos and people like this program. I've not seen mention of this capability: Can you set up a top level folder with a custom view of information columns like File Name | Frame Height | Dimensions and then drag a bunch of folders into that top level folder and have those interior folders display the same column information? WExplorer can't seem to handle this. You have to set up the view for each folder. I'm wanting to see information on the files in the folders that applies to various file types, not just Windows' file type buckets, eg: Image dimensions and also video length and audio bitrates all in one folder view (as columns). I'd like to keep the groups of files in separate folders for separate projects. Each project's files don't fit into a single Microsoft "big bucket" [eg: Video, Images, Audio, Text] - Thank you in advance.

I actually don't use TC any longer. I open 2 explores and then copy/moves the files between them. I just don't understand why MS haven't added something like TC (a MS version) as preinstalled.

can't even display basic images "tiff", & when you finaly find plugin to do so, you cannot adjust it to fit in quick preview window, wanted to use this by lacking in BASIC functionality, of the MANY similar progs i've tried, only xplorer2 & Filevoyager are still on my system doing the basic stuff other simply cannot handle

Good points. I only use TC twice per year when built in file explorer annoys me too much. I just don't understand why the standard file explorer needs to be so bad.

Is there a way to UNDO(like windows ctl+z) a file deletion in Total Commander?
