Email, Call and Write a letter to the FCC/gov. There is no reason that media companies cannot program specific packages for individuals. Let the CONSUMERS HAVE CONTROL. Let consumers pay for only the stations they watch. I don't watch shopping, kids, sports, ... We must become more vocal and force government to prioritize consumers rather than media companies. Pass it on. 😇

I'm with Hulu since I watch a lot of shows and if you pay a premium, Hulu will either remove the commercial or allow you to skip. KZbin TV always keeps the commercial and sometimes does not allow you to fast forward. Plus, Hulu has the additional channels like HGTV, DIY, etc.

Just an antenna does not include DVR and that may be a deal killer for a lot of people. I settled on KZbin TV over Hulu although I still kept normal Hulu with no Adds. My main issue with Hulu was the add-on costs for getting what I wanted. If you record News, sports and late-night you can run out of space pretty quickly. Without better tools to manage space you need the extra add-ons or to go in and manage your recording every day or so. To have more space and watch more than one screen at a time was an extra $30. The unlimited for 9 months DVR on KZbin makes it easy. Record anything and don't worry about it.

KZbin TV might be better now but January 2020 Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, E!, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, FOX Business, FOX News, Freeform, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, FX, FXM, FXX, are ALL leaving and Hulu TV is keeping them so it might be easier to just go with Hulu.

The one problem I have with Hulu TV is that you can't set up the guide to just show the channels you want to watch. With KZbin TV you can.

Usually when you have Cable you also have Netflix and Hulu. So I just cut cable ad added KZbinTV mostly for price and unlimited DVR. adding other channels from Fubo TV I have all I need and saving about $76 a month compared to Cable.

chessdude67 hello Yes you can do all that. I decided to buy a Roku for each TV. Buy a 4K device if you have a 4K TV. In my area I get all locals My33 NBC CBS ABC FOX. KZbin TV has unlimited space for Recording it’s called Library so you just add things to your Library. When you go into the YTTV website you look for the list of channels and enter your zip code then it adds your local channels. I understand YYTV has gone nationwide but check your local channels. To me the service has worked great! I dropped Comcast without thinking twice.

I agree Alan. He does speak incredibly fast. I see other comments, where they like it that he speaks fast, because they want him to get to the point. Getting to the point isn't about speed, it's about cutting out the filler. Gone are the days where people have patience. Everyone wants what they want, when they want it. Overall, I liked his Review too.

My biggest complaint is ads on Hulu live(no ads) plan. Not only am I seeing ads on live TV, which is totally expected. But I'm forced to sit through unskippable Hulu ad blocks, which range anywhere from 60 to 240 seconds. Did I mention those are mandatory and unskippable?

Hulu ran better than directnow but You Tube tv outstreams both of them. Hulu I think is cutting their regular content to 5.99 without live tv so that is almost a must buy.

Also thinking about going with my cable company, as they offer for $25 a month, you get all local channels plus whatever else you'd get with basic cable/ or antenna but you get to pick any 10 channels you want besides obviously paid channels like HBO etc . HULU: Speaking of DVR, yesterday I ordered the full Hulu experience (no ads, hulu + live tv, disney+, espn+, etc). I've used DVR for nearly twenty years and before that VCR, so I'm quite experienced. So, I set three shows to record. Just Go With It, PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions. As Just Go With It was streaming I checked on it, and the indicator showed "Recording", and because I saw "Recording" I took for granted that all THREE shows would record. I got up this morning, and Just Go With It was NOT recorded, and the two golf programs did. I started playback on the golf programs and both programs stopped and were stuck in the first few seconds. I started a chat with Hulu and this is what she said "We do apologize but for the playback I can confirm that this is something our team knows about, and is planning to address. I don’t have a specific date to share with you as for when this will be resolved. But rest assured that our Team is doing its best to fix the issue as soon as possible." They have a DVR that failed to playback two of two shows, and failed to record one of three shows, and they sell this as a feature? This is a consumer goods company? They "know about it" and they can't tell me when they'll fix it? They already took my money? Their response? They said "We'll credit you 1 week on your next billing cycle." Next billing cycle? I'm one day in, and it's the worst experience imaginable, and they are so thick, they expect ME to stick around for a second month?

Wow, Mike, lot of information, but it does tend to rush by fast. But I’m sure time is of the essence. As a long time Retired Senior at 80 years old. It’s a bit much. Fortunately money isn’t a problem for me. So I have Cable and Roku, and in my Den; just added another Roku, for 4K. For my living room 55” HDTV, which I bought several years ago. I assuming it was 4K, turns out it isn’t, and no update to make it so. So I just set it up, on my small 22” TV in my Den. Basically I bought an Antenna for around $15.00 years ago. Living in Los Angeles, more that sixty channels. As I only speak English, and a little Spanish, the number I can watch is a lot less. But you are right, the picture is great, although you may have to turn it around on some stations. I’m sure newer ones do a better job. I can’t recall the last time I watched something live on TV. Just recorded those in my DVR. So I can fast forward them. But with a Streaming Stick or similar device and Antenna, plus regular KZbin, you can access a lot of free TV, maybe add Netflix or Amazon Prime anyone would be set up fairly cheaply. I don’t often watch the latest movies, so TCM is my fave. Or those posted on KZbin. And for a few bucks more, rent one of the latest movies. If you’re counting your pennies, just don’t go overboard. Check out your local Library and borrow a DVD. I’m assuming that they still exist. Lol some Libraries, even have an app for Wi-Fi borrowing. Sadly people still have to pay for that service.

KZbin has Tennis Channel and SEC network plus movie channels look to be a pretty good selection. I think that would be my choice. Tried Sling TV and found it wanting. Cancelled but did get a Roku Express so that was nice. Frankly, I've recently rediscovered Netflix and am really enjoying its massive content. Makes regular cable look really bad, especially movie content. Continually surprised at what movies don't show up on HBO and Showtime.

When you talk about OTA antenna it isn't just add an antenna. In my case I am at the edge of all the OTA transmitters and I have a lot of trees. An OTA would not be practical for my location so the option of getting local stations would have to come from which ever provider I use ie. KZbin TV or HULU TV. Thanks for the information,. In my research I found that it depends where you are here in S Florida Hulu has better performance. I tried KZbin fubo and Playstation vue. I being using Hulu for a month and I'm very happy. Got rid of DirecTV and save 75.00 dollars per month. Which ever you choose you'll save money. Good luck

I've tried both. KZbin TV is better because you don't have to pay for extras. Also, unlimited DVR storage more local channels and they recently had a special for KZbin TV customers were we got a Google Home Hub for just $40 dollars instead of the $139 price.

I have Hulu live and it’s pretty good! I think choosing between Hulu and KZbin is if you want to watch Hulu originals and other stuff they offer, go for Hulu. If you don’t care much about what on demand streaming movies and tv shows Hulu offers, go for KZbin. But it also mostly depends which channels you want but both seem pretty good with their channel lineup

If you go into an individual network in KZbin TV, in most cases there will be a lot of prerecorded shows and series available. Once you start adding shows to your library those will start getting populated as well.

I have been using Hulu Live for 6 months now and overall I like it and am paying alot less than I did with Direct TV. There definetly some issues though. The Hulu app. on our Firestick will freeze on the loading screen from time to time and requires a reboot of the fire stick. This I can deal with but the other issue is more annoying. Whether you record a TV show on the Hulu DVR or watch the VOD episode it cuts off the end of the episode. They also offer no feature to extend the recording time like DVR's have done for years now. This issue is making me seriously think about switching over to KZbin TV. Has anybody had these issues and what do others feel about KZbin TV's DVR?

Hulu has too many issues.... like DVR space ... and cost over all. Also had many issues logging in to watch on my Amazon. Then there the fact that the app on my smart tv that doesnt have live tv in hulu app.. reason why I have amazon... to watch hulu ....just too many issues.. I'm giving KZbin some serious thought.

Well, I'm trying KZbin tv on their 5 day trial run. I have Hulu live right now so here's my break down between the 2. KZbin TV's channel interfaces nicer, I like the way you can switch the channels in the order you like. But when you record something it only holds its for 9 months which is kind of a downer. The movies set up is more confusing than Hulu. I do like the way Hulu has their older TV shows are set up. Big thing that was a turn-off for me though was when I went to my tablet and phone. When I tried to watch KZbin TV on my tablet I was only able to watch it in a small square, not on full screen. I'm in the hospital a lot and I always take my tablet with so I can watch my TV while I'm in there, with Hulu it's in full screen. Next is the problem with downloading the app on my phone. I've been trying to download the KZbin TV app on my new Galaxy S10 plus and it won't install for some reason? It downloads but won't install and I've done everything that they told me to do to fix it but it still won't install? These two things alone are probably going to be a deal-breaker for me. Plus the fact my recordings get deleted after 9 months. As far as the movies that are available I just went back and forth between the two of them and I would have to say Hulu has more movies to watch and there organized better also and the movies when you browse "movies" are commercial free. The movies change on Hulu every month too which I don't know if they do on KZbin TV or not. I also think the older TV shows that are available are better on Hulu. The Hulu originals are better than KZbin TV Originals also. The live Channel interface is better on KZbin TV. Watching it for me on the tablet & on the phone is better on Hulu. Finding your movies and TV through the top scrolling through the categories I would give that to Hulu to in my opinion. Mainly because when I click on some of them on KZbin TV to watch, it says it will record it when it becomes available? Hulu doesn't do that, if you click on it you can watch it. You can record something on KZbin TV by clicking the little plus sign. On Hulu live you get the option of clicking a little round record button but the option of clicking only new shows or new shows and reruns. KZbin TV has unlimited DVR which is a plus. Hulu has 50 hours of free DVR, for $10 more you get 200 hours DVR, which is what I got. But they don't deleted it ever unless you delete it.

None of these streaming services use an antenna. They all connect through your internet connection. Only local channels in your physical area (such as ABC, CBS, NBC, MeTV, Fox, PBS, Charge, Comet, CW, MyNetworkTV, IND, Ion, Cozi, myTV, Grit, Stadium) would be picked up by an antenna and no streaming service is required to do that. You only need a tv that has a built in digital receiver which is in all newer tvs.

These services should logically be on your Smart TV. If not, there are 2 ways. 1. Screen Mirror: I’m not going to give you a tutorial here, but hop on the messages, click the devices option, your TV should show up, and start mirroring. You can change the settings of the Mirror and everything. 2. HDMI cable: this is the easier way. Grab any old HDMI cord, plug it into your Computer, and then plug it into your Tv. If you don’t have an HDMI port on your Conputer, get a converter for a USB, USB-C, or Mini HDMI depending on what ports you have on your computer.

Can you do picture in picture for HULU live? Like on cable when you are watching one show but can flip back and forth between another show And - can you look at the guide on HULU live while you also watch the channel, like you can skim thru the guide in cable while keeping it on the current channel you are watching

I was happy to see that on missed episodes that are still on KZbin (I assume VOD) you can save them as you showed on your Phone, but none of that notify or save seems to be available on the Chrome Browser or the FireTV stick. Also it seems you can't skip commercials on the VOD versions.

I've checked em all out. KZbin TV is good but channel to price ratio isn't that great and it lacks Viacom and NFL Network... 2 big dealbreakers for me. I had to try and make up for the Viacom hole by combining with Philo. (It covers nearly ALL KZbin TV missing channels without overlapping any current KZbin TV channels.) This totalled ~$72 per month. My fix? Sling TV $34 per month includes all of KZbin TV and Philo channels but no local channels. (This is fine with me as I have basic tv, local channels + HBO, and internet bundled with Xfinity already.)

Ron S, yes you did but KZbin TV has changed in price since he made this video. It’s now $49.99/month through anything but iTunes or $54.99/month through iTunes. Not sure about Hulu TV.

How about PBS? No one mentions that channel. If you're only one or two persons in the house it might be better to go with Hulu if you ALREADY subcribe to Hulu service. I'm still deciding which to take but I'm leaning towards Hulu because in the end I'm only paying $39 per month extra just for adding TV ( I get Hulu without the commercials) and at this point on demand is practically everywhere so you really don't need that much DVR space.

KZbin TV has a guide similar to what most people are used to...channels in order as you would see them with your cable or satellite box. I like them both, but lean towards KZbin TV for that reason and the unlimited DVR. Hulu Live (not Hulu TV) frustrated me by not having the guide. You can build your own guide, but that's a pain. I also found more movies that I liked on KZbin TV. (Side note Netflix, really lacks movies, at least every time I think of one I'd like to see, it seems they never have it on Netflix...they need to step it up. If I look on Amazon Prime, they may have it, but there is always a charge...what the hell am I paying for aside from the free shipping)...ok, other rant over. Also, you definitely need to try this on a Roku device. It "feels" more like what most are used to with their cable/satellite boxes. Finally I am not sure I heard you correctly, but KZbin TV in NOT just live TV. I have searched for all kinds of shows live or not, and have had no problems watching them. I may have had to wait one time, but in those cases, check under Movies and not under the live TV menu...pretty sure that works, and I think that was before I searched in other areas. I actually did like some of the suggested movies/shows too.
