No auto header height control. Hhhmmmm. I worked at the JD as a combine mechanic for 15 years before farming. Literally Spent years working on the 9500 and 9600’s. Sold my 5800 + engine hour 9500 last year and still have a 9600. 9500 is a great combine, Any help or repair tip/tricks you need email me. Make sure the precleaner is fully closed on everything but corn. It is forward from the chaffer. Anything that goes through the precleaner goes to grain tank(is more of a sieve to take load off of regular chaffer and sieve in corn).

They tell you that you can kick the four wheel drive on as you go. Every time I have tried it has blown a rear wheel unit o -ring. I actually keep one and the backing plate on hand it did it so many times. I throttle it down and run everything hydraulic and then kick it in. It keeps the hydraulic pressure from being too high at the rear. I blew one of those rear tires last year - $1200 rubber. Yikes.
