Mike, this is an excellent tutorial, however I can't get the recording light to come on when trying to create an audio file. I am using Audition CC version 6 Build 732 (64 bit) and using an Samson C01U microphone via a desktop computer. I keep getting the error message "The sample rates of the audio input and output devices do not match etc. etc." I have followed your instructions above re Preferences and Audio Hardware/Mapping several times and the sample rates are identical. Any thoughts? Cheers.

Thanks this is great. I'm just trying to get back to grips with radio/podcast production with Audition after a 10 year gap. Having started with Cool Edit, years ago, early Audition was a dream, but I have forgotten a lot of the controls, and now the programme is more powerful and therefore seemingly more complex. I was having trouble remembering how to do simple things - like rubber banding volume in clips. But now that I found your Tutorials I'm well back on track. You explain things much more clearly than the Adobe Tutors! Maybe because you are a radio producer and not from video, as far as I can tell.
