It looks even older than that..This is a nice trim but it’s just looks like a Ford Fusion at this point in time. Way to much chrome! Who likes chrome anymore except on actual luxury cars? Especially in this trim they should really fixed the monstrous chrome grill

chocolatewheelchair and only 1 engine offered no matter the trim level. So you but the R line and get no bump in horsepower or performance in general

ImYoutubing247 that’s normal for R-line. Their actual R cars are super expensive. However even within the r-line this is such a weak version. It should at lease have a black headliner, blacked out grill, black mirror caps and flat bottom wheel

chocolatewheelchair true except previous versions of the Passat had two options, aV6 was one. It would be nice if that engine was available in this trim and the SEL/SEL premium too. Not saying it has to be a Full “R” spec’d engine

In the review I think the reviewer stated that the 2020 Passat was built on the MQB platform. I think Passats still use older generation chassis for U.S. models.

Helpful video. A Bay Area dealer has several new "leftover" 2020 SEL Premium Passats and I'm going to check one out Monday. This gives me an idea what they offer. They want $25,000 for them (fully loaded top trim). I think that's pretty good.

Volkswagen has nailed it again! Although it’s a refresh of their long running design, it’s still very handsome and very clean. This will age well and is more mature and elegant than other more daring designs on the market. As always, they really hit the nail on the head with ergonomics too, and the price point is just right. I like it, I’d seriously consider one if I were in the market!

This has a old interior and is a super low trim lol. The touchscreen is super cheap (No nav and tiny) The gauges are not even digital. It has the old style stalks for the indictor and windscreen wipers. It has the old steering wheel. It doesn't even have Electric parking brake (Even tho it comes standard on every trim Golf and Passat)

Nice looking car, although the interior looks dated already. The Passat is in desperate need of a better drivetrain. The 2.0T should be the base motor and VW should offer a VR6 turbo for the premium trim. Same could be said for the Arteon as well. A four cylinder turbo does not feel premium in this size of vehicle.

I test drove a Passat and a Camry today. The Camry was the one that had a dash rattle. About a month ago I test drove a 2020 Camry Hybrid and it has a dash rattle too.

i think they are putting all their focus on the Jetta and Arteon i'm from Morocco and we used to have almost 7 trim levels of the passat and only one arteon and jetta but now we have only trim level and engine for the passat and more variations for the jetta and arteon also their prices were minimized for better commercialization

@@jblking3896 the vw looks like it was design in 2005 just ugly. You can look at reviews on both and the Mazda get praised on its looks while the vw constantly remind them of 2005. So Mazda is better.

@@RomanM803 The VW you're seeing in the video is the American made Passat. You can't really expect much from American made cars. They're low quality and cheaply built. Looks nowhere near as good as the one from Europe. Also, anyone who has driven a Mazda knows how bad and unreliable they are. I had to drive one for nearly a week as a loner car. Can't remember the specific model, but it's so much worse than the VW. Everything is so tight and low quality and the car also looked like a fish from the outside. I felt so much better when I got my VW Jetta back. No more crappy Mazda.
