Awesome explanation of basic motor wiring controls. I’d been looking for a video like this for a while & happy to have finally found it. Breaking down the actual controls and explaining how they work is a Big Plus. Great Job!

Please try and make a video on the construction and working principle of contactor, thermal overload relay, timer, selector switch and so on... This will help us the new individuals in the field of engineering understand it more when it is used in a circuit... Thanks...

Rookie question: If this setup is used in 220/480 3 phase where does the power for the circuit control? You mentioned 24v into the leads to activate the coil.
@nealblackburn862810 ай бұрын
when you buy your contactor you specify what voltage you want if it is an application where a person could touch a damaged control button you ask for 24 v coil and you need to supply that voltage through a 24v transformer if there is no chance a person could come in contact with the control circuit you could ask for a 415 v coil and that voltage is taken directly off the power running into the contactor

Hello. Do you know how to test a Wascator electronic motor start switch, S9817, . Is the test similar to those from the Sinpac brand? This is for a washing machine.
@Mikesfilmss Жыл бұрын
I’m really not sure. Can you send me a link? Possibly a schematic of the switch. They are probably the same. I just don't want to give you bad advice when dealing with things I've never seen.

@@Mikesfilmss Hello, the washing machine is a Wascomat W125. Inside is a (electronic motor start switch, Wascator S9817) but i am looking for a replacement, the Sinpac brand have similar one (Sinpac Switch 230v for Wascomat Washer P/n 471956605 472205015u01) The test for the sinpac 220 volts switch is online whith two incandescent light bulbs. I'm looking to test the original switch (Wascator S9817) before throwing it away to see if it works.

@@Mikesfilmss Can you refer me to any study of the electronic switches to start the high speed in a motor (not the working speed), for example the high speed of a motor in the spin action of a washing machine? The electronic switches (Sinpac) are to replace the centrifugal mechanical switch supposedly because the mechanical ones fail more than the electronic ones. They normally have 4 terminals. What is connected to these 4 terminals, their functionality? Best regards.

Hey bro maybe you could help me out so we have a machine that is controlled by motor lift drum lift up and down by 2 buttons but recently it’s been shutting control board all off when going down or up sometimes I’ve changed relays worked for but but back to shutting all off not sure what to do can you help PLEASE I CAN EXPLAIN BETTER

@@Mikesfilmss so the guy who made machine n control board is in UK he has it all so it’s easier n cheaper for us to do it in house and I’m only one who was willing to to learn and try to fix the stuff im interested in it , maybe I can send u photos of what the issue is , cause we have a drum lift we put drums in and it goes up n down with 2 buttons green n red so when we go up n down the machine the control board will shut off but the lift will still work the small control board still works lights turn on it’s the bigger board that shuts off none of the switches inside big board turn off or click down letting me know it was tripped , I think there’s some papers in board I can send u pictures off that act might be the schematics for it

Um no. Normally open is open at its resting/shelf state and closes when contact is closed, allowing electricity to flow through.
