I'm not trying to be a dick, just pointing out that using brooms to clean a car will cause bad micro scratches and swirl marks. The reason for the foam gun is to loosen and remove dirt to minimise swirl marks when using a microfibre wash mitt and the brooms negate that by putting worse marks on the paint.

@@Larkful_Dodger 😆😆😆 Did you see the paintwork on this car? It has sat in the weather for 20 years, clear coat has almost completely peeled off, paint is down to the bare metal in sections with surface rust coming through paint, sanding marks all over, sections painted over with a paint brush or roller and you’re concerned about micro abrasions snd swirl marks. 🤣🤣🤣

No problem, soap ratio really depends on the soap. You can buy special foaming soap, I just bought some from Bowden's called snow foam. I will do a review on it when I get around to using it but will be a little while off yet.

@@MikesManCave yeah, Bowden's is the best...I discovered today that Amour All do it as well. I have a gerni as well. Just never had much luck with the cannon...your video really helped

Hey Mike , just a quick question. Have just tried my gerni foam bottle and got reasonably good / acceptable results , my question is did you have water connected to the gerni during operation. I did but figure this is diluting the foam action. Used Maguires Gold 5:1 ratio. Also I'm curious as to whether the canister being connected at the gun handle without the lance would reduce the amount of water dilution due to a quicker exit of wash foam ... Cheers

Yes, Gerni does not work without water, it's a pressure cleaner that pumps water. I have no idea what happens inside the lance or bottle. I just add the soap and use it. I think you are overthinking stuff that does not require thinking space to be used up. All you need is foam/soap on your car to clean it.
