Been really happy with mine since buying it alongside my K4, certainly foams up well enough with 1:5 ratio with Autoglyms Polar Blast on full power. But I’ve since realised it’s not about the volume of foam, it’s more about the cleaning power, so now I’ve switched to Bilt Hamber, which is a lot less foamy but a lot more efficient at shifting the dirt, but I intend to keep it, as it does a great job for the price, my singular moan is it only just holds enough if you’ve got it on full power to cover a car… but that’s it. Less is more in terms of value for me.

I just bought a Karcher K7 and bought the same foam lance you show here. I used 100% soap inside (Avalanche Autofinesse) and it was coming out more runnier than yours shown here... I am disappointed in this foam gun, thinking that the Karcher is top of the line brand (they know what they're doing?) I thought I was going to get crazy thick foam, and I purposely did not dilute the soap. Thanks

I am a weekend warrior with a K5 and this lance i got with the purchase. I also have the Autoglym lance, and they are worlds apart!. The Kärcher lance is way too uneconomical to use, since it consumes heaps of product to even get a hint of foaminess, while the Ag needs next to nothing in ways of snow foam detergent to give a thick consistent blanket of foam. The spray pattern adjustment is also knife sharp, and don´t get me started on the quality feel, but you knew that :)

Dave I hope this reaches you and if you could have a quick read please; I was due to open a mobile valeting business this winter, but I’ve totally sacked it off due to saturation in the market. There’s literally a new mobile detailing start up every day here, and the prices have been driven to the ground by the new start ups out beating each other on price. Maintenence washes start at £20 including snow foam + 2 bucket method, full valet inc wet vac for £50, and £100 for a full decontamination and single stage machine polish and ceramic protection. Quality must be like dogs bollocks as it’s a rushed job then onto the next, but it’s sad to say this recent influx of so called mobile detailers have killed the market here in West Yorkshire. Is anyone else feeling the same where they live?
@epicautomotivedetailing4 жыл бұрын
Man that sucks. So due to the virus having an impact I've noticed a huge amount of mobile valeters start-up. So the competition is getting tough. So now you have to be smart and come up with something that makes you different to the rest. I live just outside London which is one of the remaining surviving areas so it's not affected us here and in fact I've stopped taking on clients now because I can't have staff with me and fully booked. I go for clients who expect the very best so the VIP, celebrity clients as they never give me grief

Karcher has a different view on car cleaning than you or I. This was designed as a car wash soap applicator, for a 1-0 bucket wash method, without a pre wash. I tell you I had nightmares when I saw their "how to wash a car with a karcher pressure washer" video. and yes I did start out with one of these :) It does work, you are correct on how most non detailers look at washing a car, but you do get what you pay for. the Autoglym snow foam lance is £30, but it does work a helluva lot better :) The Karcher K series lance (not the main unit, the vario lance) I think lacks pressure and fan consistency with that dumb twist for power thing. Every time I put the thing down the setting had changed. Dove me mad. The AG foam lance also give you access to 1/4" quick release nozzles (sold separately) which turns the Karcher into a more suitable enthusiast series tool imho. Good vid :)

So, low foam setting is the yellow water adjuster on the top set to the lowest? Also, test 1 and 2 was neat solution in the bottle? Then on the Fiat you set it to full power, is that the yellow adjust with the least amount of water and most amount of solution? Test 4 was the first time in the test you added water to the mixture bottle? Cheers.

Hello No neat solution in the bottle. Its not very cost effective using snow foam compared to TFR so for basic valets id be inclined to look more at TFR any day

Is it correct that some K2 models can't be run for more then 10min continuous? I have bought a K2 model and when I was looking at some of the manuals. I noticed this in a Spanish/Mexican manual. Yet the European manual did not state any of this. The European manual actually hardly states anything about usage, only tons of warnings

So what makes the snow foam thick and "sticky"? The cannon? The chemical? or the chemical/water ratio? pls help 😣
@epicautomotivedetailing3 жыл бұрын
Combination of cannon and foam. You can have the best foam but if it's in a rubbish cannon it's not effective. You need good flow and you can buy orifices to give you more kickback. Good cheap one is mjjc pro 2
