Lived in Arizona, 1965-70, USAF, WAFB. In Apache Junction, 1969-70. Miss the Superstitions Mountains. Maintained trails by dropping ice cubes on my morning walks. To get rid of grass, I'd drop the ice cubes, the ants would find the water and take the grass away.

I heard about that. I don't know why they would want to rebuild...it's now a residential area and the land must be worth a fortune.

Mike's Road Trip They would love to rebuild this old landmark. It’s part of the history of Apache Junction. Unfortunately, newcomers have built homes in the area and now they don’t want the restaurant there. I guess both sides have an argument. But it’s like moving into a neighborhood with an airport and then telling the airport to move. So I guess the owners are just going to take their insurance money and start over elsewhere

I lived in Apache junction in the 1960s and went to school there back then all they could afford was rice everyday was rice for lunch it was getting really sickening to see the same thing on the plate every day because that community could not afford anything else so I don't think I would break it up too much it's just another one or seniors to go to live on the cheap
