iiyama are know for making some really great monitors and especially the more budget focused models. The G-master Black Hawk G2755HSU is not exception, and actually brings something new to the table. AMD Freesync 100hz!
For years now there has been a large divide between the "office" monitor and the "gaming" monitor, with Office models being 60 or 75hz and gaming panels usually starting at 144hz upwards.
high refresh panels are not cheap to produce or to actually run, it terms of power draw and also needing a decent GPU to get the most of it.
100hz is cheaper to produce and easier for modest GPUs to reach whilst still having smooth fluid image and maintaining full AMD freesync variable refresh sync.
A great idea, well implemented, and at a decent price. So if you want a really nice 27" gaming panel, but also want to reign in the budget and power bills, this is worth a closer look.
