You might want to start salvaging the heat limiting switches off the dryers they cost about 20 bucks each and are easy to test and get off , you could sell them all day for 10. also heating elements are about 125. sell used for 50 yee haw.

Cabinet locks are really easy to pick.I used my woman's bra underwire and a paper clip the first time I had ever picked a lock because I needed to use it. I've still got it after about 10 years. 😉 also you can buy lock pickers really cheap. It's a lot cheaper than calling a locksmith out.

M.T.S. You should look into getting Dottie some Half Leaf Springs, also called Leaf Spring Helpers, so she can haul a heavier load. They are a Bolt On item and pretty easy to install
