I don't know much about dumpster diving I have never done it is it legal or illegal
@1liar2many3 жыл бұрын
@@stevesutter2562 that's a bit of a gray area. And subject to local laws recycling dumpsters both commercial and private are no nos . most states any garbage can for a residence that has been set by the roadway for collection is fair game. Most of the state's have a clause that it becomes public domain at that point and open to being go e through and the items are completely legal to take with you. While this is a boon for scrapers. It's not there to make it easy for them. rather it is a law they enacted to make it so the police do not have to get a warrant every time they want to search a garbage. Whether it's at a crime scene or if they are just suspicious of the people in a specific type. As far as retail store dumpsters. If the dumpster is enclosed in a gated area and the gate is closed it is best to leave it alone those get the police's dander up. They claim its breaking and entering. But if it's in the open and unlocked. Your usually ok. Just remember the golden rules . be quiet especially at night. Nobody wants your causing a huge amount of noise. Do not leave a mess when you leave. Thats one I got on others divers about a lot. I would actually carry a broom and shovel and stuff witg me and clean up any messes at dumpsters . even if I did not make it. It kept the businesses from looking to stop divers. If it's questionable leave it . I have found . it's an adventure.

As a former security officer who had to politely told a few people that they couldn’t dumpster dive here. It’s not because of the owner of the property had a problem with someone who was emptying out a dumpster. It’s because if the dumpster diver got hurt the property owner could be liable for any injury and that’s the biggest reason why many companies don’t like people dumpster diving is because they don’t want to be sued in case of injury.

That's a bummer. My old boy is 16 and never had a problem until recently. Kidney failure, so I changed him to all raw chicken diet. His seizures went from every week to every other month. And the severity is lessening. So I hope to have him for a year or two more. We walk every day. I want to give him the best longest life I can. They mean so much to us when we have them, and after they pass. Fond memories, and loyal companions. They don't care about any of the things people do. You could be Quasimodo himself but a dog cares not. If you give them love and basic needs, you have a buddy for life. It's just a shame they don't live longer. But that me being selfish.

I'm sure it was heartbreaking to make that video of Weenie, but thank you for sharing a few moments. They leave their paw prints on our hearts forever...

I miss scrapping. Used to live close to an industrial park and was always interesting the stuff they would throw away! Work a boring 9 to 5 now. : (

They are like family, when I lost my last one I cried for three straight days, just couldn’t quit. It hurts, but we give them the best life we can and they give us wonderful memories. 🐶. ✌🏼❤️

im sorry for your loss mike. I dumpster dive in philadelphia PA RIP Winston. I hit the sub your upbeat attitude is infectious. I hate getting run out of places one time I found a 1300 pound piece of machinery in a dumpster it was so sketchy getting it into my F150 with a heavy duty come along. It actually bent my bed but that scrap truck didn't owe me a thing. I paid 2500 for it and made that in scrap in the first 2 months. People have no idea how fast 100-200 dollars extra per day adds up over the year.

Our sympathy 💐 for your loss of Winston. You’re right cancer is a disease which really has no purpose like you said it dies when Winston past. Can you do a clip on how you process the thousands of packets ready for recycling? Thanks and hugs to you and your wife (may she keep on singing)

I´m sorry for the loss of your dog. I know how it feels - I lost my dog two months ago, and I miss her so much it hurts.

As the saying goes One man's trash is another man's treasure. While Mike does his thing he is doing good for our planet as he searches for his pots of gold. Some days he may not find much of anything to speak of and other days he hits the mother load. Like when he all but maxed out his pickup trucks suspension with a huge stach of steel wire rolls. He cleans up what ever mess he makes when he is digging for his treasures. More power to the dumpster divers across the USA.

Those connectors could be sold on eBay or Amazon for a few bucks a package rather pennies a pound.

That "vent" was a PA speaker. 70V is a standard voltage for building audio systems. I guess 25V is too.

The video is so clear on this! When I was younger, my family made a living by dumpster diving and then selling the stuff at the flea market! I loved it and it gave me a strong work ethic! I have worked hard since I was 8! Haha

Great video. Amazing, all those cable thingies being thrown out. Good thing you were there to rescue them. I know it's a year late, but I'm sorry about your dog man. They truly are our best friends.
