Peterbilt cabovers sit taller than any other cabover one of the main things I love about the old 352s and 362s

I would have guessed the Ford cabover was taller, they looked huge.

I think the Ford cab over commonly called the two story Edsel is higher than the Peterbilt.

Brockway and International both made coe’s that were taller! My dad and I had all 3! And a Crackerbox too! In the 70s-80s!

Looking good Mike! Buy an inexpensive 48' or 53' storage trailer with a good floor. Grab the oak floor and re-do the deck on "Low & Slow".

More good progress Mike. The red wheels work for me. I guess the dash electrics is going to be a slow process of checking and repairing. Keep up the good work. Mike, Lancs 🇬🇧

Porter greetings!🇺🇸 I like the new steering wheel. I’m sure you will find lots of extra wiring and such. Time to get the tester out and track the hot wires down and go to town. Don’t forget to get the Mrs. to help ya. I bet the deck boards are gonna be pretty old…may need to get some fresh lumber and strip the entire deck. Oh boy, what a job! 🤩 Well, take one step and day at a time. I’m liking the red wheels. Good stuff. 🤩🥰🇺🇸

Another great video Mike. Low and Slow is coming along nicely. So jealous, I'd love an old truck to play with..... The chrome caps on the wheels will look good too, can't wait to see. Hoping to see a Kenny update soon also. Keep up the great work.

Low n Slow is running good and is actually an interesting advert for your work as despite its age its still reliable and looking great with a strong frame. Peterbilt engineering that has lasted over 2 decades, a great example of Peterbilt quality. How's the air conditioning?

I use lemon pledge furniture polish on my interior. It smells good & shines good too. You've got a lot of nice toys sitting around. Not liking the red wheels. Polished aluminum would look better.

With your connections you probably know of a good paintless dent removal guy / gal for that divot on the right front cab corner. That would make an awesome video in itself.

Regarding your fiber optic lights.... Did you happen to check to see if the light bulb was still good? I'd recommend checking that. (And if that's the cause, I'd see about upgrading that bulb to an LED.)
@sporttruck51033 жыл бұрын
Pete looking much better with red wheels. White cab needs same colored red stripes, maybe with gold/black thin pinstripes.

Casual observation, you seem to have an affinity for the colors red and while...lol Pete looks good though!

Red yes! White just seems to happen. 🙄. Thinking maybe I should paint the K100 blue for something different. I haven't had a blue vehicle since I was 16
@dwightcorbett88893 жыл бұрын
Overall, I'd say you've got yourself a very good truck. Doesn't need nearly the work Kenny needs, then again, Low and Slow wasn't in a junkyard. But you'll have two very good classic trucks when you're finished.
@mikethetrucknut3 жыл бұрын
Yes I agree, I love the pete but I also love the K100. I have a few more must do's to the Pete but then I'm focusing back on the KW. I want Kenny running before winter.
@donmccord3 жыл бұрын
Yeah my 362 sits 10 inches higher than my k100 Pete has 11r 22.5 and k100 has low pro 22.5 but even they were the same Pete would tower over the kenworth I have found visibility on the right side is 10x better in the k100
@jtn4843 жыл бұрын
Mike, I have a question why did you buy two cab overs looks like to me low and slow should be the main project from the get-go you can use it around the house for hauling and have an old Peterbilt cabover all in one then wouldn't have two trucks to fix up cost-wise just a thought I know you just like this stuff.
@mikethetrucknut3 жыл бұрын
I just love them, the K100 was cheap but needs alot of work. The 362 is useful to go get parts etc. Same price as a big trailer but has its own engine so figured why not.

Did you look to see if the bulb was working that you used as your fiber optic light ? you had 1 cab light out on top .don't the lights on the front bottom of cab right above bumper suppose to burn as park lights and signal lights ? trying to remember if they were dual purpose . but keep at it . yes those lift cylinders should be repackable . check local hydraulic shop if you don't think you can do it new would be really high even with your discount lol don't like the plywood they will no your trying to hide something and look up from below and see it when there underneath it jmo
