Just wanted to say, every year my city has a 4 day Rib Fest that you should come to one year Mikey! It's in Michigan and called Labadie Rib Fest. Although it's small compared to other states, the food is definitely worth it!

I went to Bologna for their Ragu, No.1 place on Trip Advisor was shut so I went to No. 2 ranked. It was okay.....I found in Italy they put the pasta as the star of the dish whereas my personal preference is more on the sauce and meat so in terms of expectation, i wanted something "stronger".

Altough certainly "meaty", ragú from bologna has some soft quality in taste, due to the type of meat used and the milk. If you appreciate stronger taste maybe you'd like ragu from toscana more. I've always put italian cuisine real strenght in the extraordinary variety of its dishes. Italy is a small country but we have a great deal of different climates and an overwhelming biodiversity. That's also the reason why non-italians are often confused by italians' different point of view on food. Even regarding some "simple" stuff like ragu or bread, everithing changes in 5 km... I've been living here all my life and very passionate about food, still there at least 70% of traditional dishes I did not try yet 😂
