My new motto is that no matter WHAT a pattern might say, I WILL be doing a continuous join or join-as-you-go. I loath sewing blocks together. I never get them sewn so they feel secure. No-sew for the win! Thanks for this. It is a nifty concept that I am going to go scurry off and find left-over yarn to play with.

THIS literally will change my life! You’re simply a genius! I crochet for mental health and for myself learning new things is the best part of my journey and I’m so advanced now and was hoping I still had more to learn because as I said, it’s for me like getting the best gift ever, feeling SUPER accomplished and excited. I am in the middle of 2 C2C baby blankets and truly now want to start over lol. Mikey thank you deeply for all you do for us! Also please know how many lives you’ve changed and helped for the better! Hugs from Ontario, Barb

Ooooo! You just gave me inspiration for either my next afghan or rug made out of my leftover balls of yarn. No plan. Just grab what is in the bag and go with it.😁 Sometimes I like to do it that way with my leftovers because the result is so interesting.👍

I probably watch 4 videos on connecting c2c squares and they were all the same. They all had you doing 3 chains on the decrease instead of slip stitch, so that when you changed colors you would put your 3 double crochets in that spot which was a different color. This made the piece look a bit odd and also at some point (can remember which point) you had unused chain stitches. I like your way because I don’t have to change the way I decrease on the c2c.

I like this idea. The yarn I am gonna use is multi colored yarn. Do you think it would look weird to do two of the same blocks next to each other if the colors were multi colored or striped?

What is the rule of thumb when it comes to chaining 6 vs. chaining 3 in the joining of squares. Is there an easy way to remember?
