Important point since the original fairy tail was really about women's existential fear of losing their beauty/attractiveness to men. It had given the Queen, like all beautiful women, a type of power she'd wielded to get where she was. She had nothing else. In fact, having treated people poorly she has no one else to assist her as she ages. Contrasted to Snow White who does have more in terms of character and abilities as well as a work ethic. She doesn't just rely on her beauty with the Dwarves, she pitches in and works in exchange for her lodgings and food. Point of the story is to women to be more than just a pretty face, have more to offer. I don't think Zegler (or most of Disney's writers, producers etc.) understand that point at all, maybe they should start hiring creatives instead of activists.

True. Themes and politics aside, Lightyear was "controversial" for gay marriage, but the movie is boring af, I wanted to poke my eyes out. I literally missed the whole gay marriage thing, and was like "well, where was it?" after the movie. It is the most boring thing I've ever watched. I just stopped watching anything Disney, even my kid doesn't ask for it (she was also in agony during Lightyear). And up until Moana and Coco, which are the last masterpieces, I could swear Disney can do no wrong. Only "Luca" is forgiven, because they depicted Mediterranean sea and shores so well that I could smell them from the screen.
