Chess with Suren Hi Suren, thanks for the acknowledgement. I know you recently played a game opening with the Spike Attack: haven’t been able to view it yet, as I’m currently playing a long distance game where I opened with the Grob as well - and I, anyway, go by the old Correspondents Chess Club’s old rule, that, while a player CAN refer to printed literature, it’s against the rules to rely on “electronic aid of any kind”. Will watch your game once my friend and I have finished. (So far I’m doing surprisingly well!)

@@SurenAghabekyan Thanx, Suren. First off, my bad (memory!): It was The Correspondence Chess League of America, not "Club".And yes a player was permitted access to printed literature. I haven't resorted to any in this particular game, tho: Most if not all, printed material is hopelessly static and out-of-date compared to the data available online today: For instance, almost all the old literature treats 1. PKN4 as "a self-inflicted wound" as one author put it -- not as a gambit, letting go deliberately of the KNP, and leading to wild, untrodden paths for both players.
