I have always been a fan of red bean paste and everything you tried looked very interesting. I wonder why it is made in the shape of a fish because it doesn't taste like fish. I suspect it's just a fun shape that kids and adults enjoy. I am not much of a fan of red beans or sweet potatoes, so the most appealing one for me is the custard cream taiyaki. But I guess I should try the original anko taiyaki at least once right? Time to search to see if there is any Japanese shop selling taiyaki in my city and try it before I get the chance to eat them in Tokyo. 😋

Taiyaki looks crispy outside and delicious. It's rare that apricots are inside. I've never a combination of custard and apple.
