A feature from MikroTik that may be a little forgotten but is actually quite important for today's network needs. This feature is not a new feature but has been added to the packet system in the old to current versions of RouterOS. This feature is IPv6.
IPv6 (Internet Protocol version 6) is an internet protocol used for addressing and routing data packets between devices on a TCP/IP-based network. IPv6 is the latest generation, previously IPv4.
For IPv6 allocation needs, MikroTik has added the IPv6 feature to the RouterOS system. By default, even though it has been added to the system, this feature is currently not activated (disabled). To use the IPv6 feature, we just need to enable it. We can enter the System-Packages menu, select 'IPv6', and click the 'Enable' command button. Then reboot the router so that the IPv6 feature is active.
