I love the notion that she is his granddaughter, this is beautiful ♡

In a sense it's correct too! I believe the first prototype of miku was supposed to be named daisy
@alex-ki9et3 ай бұрын
Correction: the first development of vocaloid itself was supposed to be named daisy after daisy bell but due to copyright they couldn't so it became vocaloid

It's actually true, miku is derived from the programming of IBM 4079. She is his grand daughter

it so cute, i cry... 💙 "MIKU, I want you to never forget" and "I AM SO PROUD OF YOU", these two phrases flashed through my heart with warmth...

this video is so important to me. i can’t really put into words just what it all means to me but it feels like. human connection and seeing yourself in the ancient art of your ancestors. idk i’m rambling. this video makes me a normal amount of emotional

There's a cover of Industry Baby called Moonbase Baby that's primarily Moonbase Alpha/DecTalk but featuring Miku, as well as a version of Hello World by Louie Zong featuring the original + Miku + Moonbase Alpha

1:24 They sound so happy that ‘she’ saw THEM, for the Grandpa, I have a feeling it’s how he feels when Miku sees him

it's in every LITTLE detail that makes all of this so beautiful. that dranddaughter_is_here! and it blinking showing so much excitment from IBM is beautiful. How she finishes the rest of the lyric. IBM'S Hello Young Lady. Can you help me? is perfect litteraly perfect I see the moment when a younger Miku trying to help her grandpa with something he can clearly handle but he's giving her the chance to take the lead because of course he will. Not sure if it's intentional but the do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti-do after the "there's too much I want to say," is IBM teaching Miku something to focus on when stuff is getting to overwhelming. Something to ground her and keep her steady. and that ending bit perfect PERFECT. I want to go cry some more

saw this soon after you posted it onto tiktok, and sprang to share it to my robot loving friends ASAP. this is seriously the sweetest video ive ever seen. i hate it when people use IBM 7094's voice for anything creepy, and i think you do a good job of bringing out the cuteness factor!

I didn't know two computers singing would melt my heart... But I know why it did so. There's just so much more behind it, a whole history of human striving for progress, backed by such eternal matters, like family and memories. Summing up, this is true art.

I can't tell if this is RVC and editing or if you actually used Chipspeech? Fantastic video graphics also!
@VIRTKOS2 ай бұрын
@@BloopyChips Super reasonable to think RVC was used, but surprisingly not! Chipspeech was used for IBM's singing section. But the normal talking sections are made from sentence mixing real IBM 7094 recordings.

@@Mr_Mimestamp yeah! I realized! I've listened to some Porter Robinson's songs before and some songs from that album as well ("something comforting" is my favorite btw), so I went to listen to the whole song. (Almost cried lmaoo)

Is anyone able to tell what IBM says after the "To be, or not to be?"
@VIRTKOS28 күн бұрын
It's audio from the actual demonstration of IBM 7094 reciting 'Hamlet.' "Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them:"
@hgu28 күн бұрын
hey you mean 7094 not 7049
