This one is at least 8 years old man^^ They did this one officially as an ad for the american market as far as I know. Toyota did also made another very fancy one in 2016 to promote the prius. They used the feedback from about 50 drivers and their experience with the then new prius. Ok I love all the Vocaloids, but what people don't realize is that without Hatsune Miku, Vocaloid most likely would've been another failed project. People who hate on her need to realize that she will always be more important because she is the Vocaloid that became so popular, she had a concert in America twice now. It wasn't Luka, it wasn't Kaito, it was Miku. I don't really have favorites, but I won't deny that Hatsune Miku is to Vocaloid what Pikachu is to Pokemon. I think it's appropriate that in ventures outside of the company, Miku is the representative. Miku is the most popular, the most recognizable, and that doesn't look like it's about to change.

i HAVE to congradulate Toyota for these advertisements. Their marketing skeme is spectacular. you see, theres a group of people searching for cars, regular people are likely to pick a car based on reasonable factors, cost, speed, durabillity. But when you take Miku fans, fans who have never EVER been recongnized by any advertizers on television let alone western tv. when they see this. All their doubts about a toyota will go out the window, toyota took the time and effort to recognize US, a small group with great passion for Miku and no one gives us credit for how dedicated we are. When we see this commercial, toyota will become special to us, because we and Miku are special to them. Thank you Toyota for these productions no matter what your intentions were, im tearing up.

Funnily enough, this ad is what introduced me to vocaloid. I'd heard the name "Hatsune Miku" before and thought she was an anime character, but didn't look into it further until I saw this ad. My 13 year old self was like "WHAT? Who is this??? Why is she in an English Toyota ad?" and dove into research. Course, I came out the other end a Vocaloid fan and have been ever since. It's really fun to revisit this and have an almost exact date to identify when I became a Vocaloid fan
