You look like me if I try to curl my hair with the flat iron. It's like an accident. 🤣🤣

I have this tool and love it! It works both ways for me. It seemed like you weren’t really giving it a chance. Your hair needed time to cool before you ran your fingers through it and when you curl your hair once you can’t really go over it again and expect good results.

I love this tool! I have waist length, naturally straight hair. It was quick to heat up and took me around 15 minutes to wave my whole head. Finished it off with Aussie leave in conditioner and hair spray. I loved how it looked and the waves stayed in my hair for 3 days (used a little dry shampoo in my roots on the 3rd day)

I have this tool. I just use it to wave my daughters hair. Had no idea it could be used for curls. Works really well for us. 🧐

Just bought this in the past week and it was my first time ever using a waver. I did use Biolage heat activating spray while doing it, but it turned out PERFECT and exactly the 80's Rockstar look I was going for. I never ran my fingers through it (would've frizzed it) just flipped and shook it a bit. I have very thick and straight, long hair but was amazed at how easy and well the waves held. In fact to test it, I'm on day 3 (about to wash it out now) but it still looks great. With the crimping part at least I didn't overlap but picked up exactly where the last wave stopped- no gapping. Makes a big difference. After watching you do the curl thing though, I'm tempted to try that next. Because if you got that to work, I think I might be able to pull that off, too.

My experience with this tool is completely different. I own several wavers ;(Amika, bondi boost and even the L’ange) but to me this one is the best. I love how effortless it was for me to get nice waves.. I guess it depends on the hair type.

We have to remember that we have one real opportunity to get a good curl when styling our hair. When you go over a piece of hair a second time, the hair has lost its curl forming capabilities from the heat the first time. It becomes limp so that’s why nothing happened when she tried the same area multiple times.
@myranda8933
@myranda8933 3 жыл бұрын
Is it the same for when you try to straighten it after too? Sometimes I'll start to wave/curl and change my mind and straighten it - but then my hair will NOT straighten and just looks frizzy.
@ms.sharpe8820
@ms.sharpe8820 3 жыл бұрын
@@myranda8933 good question. I’m not sure. I would just say make your mind up on what style you want before you put all that heat on your hair 😂. I don’t think it’ll straighten as well when it already has been curled than when it’s freshly prepped and blowed dried, ready for any style.

I hear you; but this thing is really THAT BAD. Returning.
@Black_Orchid95

You just have to wait until your hair cools. Also, when curling your hair, always go from the bottom to the top to get the tightest, most consistent curl possible. Although I do have frizzy/curly/wavy hair, lol. Waves up top &it turns into really tight curls, so maybe it’s different for my hair. Also, I’ve curled my hair a day after straightening it &it was easy, but I’ve never tried straightening my straightener curled hair. 😂
@Black_Orchid95
@Black_Orchid95 2 жыл бұрын
Oh, to elaborate on the bottom to top curling of hair. I would recommend going from the middle of the sectioned hair’s length down to the bottom, &then go up to the root of the sectioned hair curl it down to meet the middle of the sectioned hair to meet what you already curled &let it go. That way you’re not going over the bottom part of the hair section again; less heat damage &evenly curled hair. Since my hair is long now, I do this in 3 sections on 1 hair section. 😁😊
@sleepygirl3173
@sleepygirl3173 3 жыл бұрын
You can’t just skip big sections of hair when your crimping you have to keep them close and it doesn’t matter the tool it will always look bad if you don’t keep the crimps consistent and close.

I think it would crimp properly if, when you move the tool down, you started where the last section you did ended. Similar to how you would with the barrels. You moved pretty far down the hair which made it inconsistent. Just a thought. But I still wouldn’t buy it based off the trouble you had!

I’m wondering if you’re just trying to be too fancy with it.. like what if you’re supposed to just use it like a flatiron and go straight down with it? Like if you “straighten” it one way it gives your curls, if you straighten the opposite way it gives you crimps.. Right? Maybe? Just a thought..

Just for future reference. 😊 Also, this is why I don’t use wavers/crimpers, because I actually have frizzy/curly hair &I’m sure it would just make my hair crazy looking. 😂😂 P.S.
