there is an isolation box option next to blending mode and opacity slider in the layer you can make use of it also

We have two ways, first, you can bring the explode version and bake the meshmaps And after that import the assembled version Second, use the same mesh name technique. But be aware if you bake like this, you lose the interaction between surfaces and effect like dirt doesn't work well

So when you duplicate the parts of that object and separate them they are on the same UV and when you crate all the textures and you are ready with Substance, you just remove the "explode" version? right? Great tutorial thanks. I have a question about an object I create currently "boots" will be used in a game. They are 5 parts of the object a sole, front part back part and sides and the long party that go to the knees. The question is should I make all these parts with Solidify modifier in blender or only the upper part where is on top, and also the space between the parts that will be sewed don't need inside mesh maybe only a rim. or its better all parts to be solid (will have more verts this way)? Eh that comment become huge :)

Yeah, this explode version is just for texturing For using the actual model you just need to export the assembled one. For the question, if i understand correctly, you just need to outer face and cover all the boots, there is no need to have your seam, separate peices, or inner faces for your final asset

solidify for a game? you cannot texture the extruded parts... apply the modifier and delete all polys you don't need, then unwrap it (not with blender because its bad).

@@PrefoX I know I dont need the inside of the boots, but If I don't use or at least to crate rims its looking like paper thin :) the upper side that is close to the knee, I also need 1 part that is inside because the boot top part is a bit more wider than the legs and it not ok.
