Because most of the ingredients/selections are just for vegetables, when theres way better sandwich places like Jersey Mikes or like I said, actual places that serve sandwiches you came for.

When I worked for Subway, I hated making meatball subs. I was too OCD with making a neat tidy sandwich you could actually close. It's when a customer comes in with their wife and 2 children and ask for the whole menu doubled up with meat and cheese and stupid amounts of salad. When they look at you struggling to fit it all they cheekily say "don't worry about closing it up" and I look over and I'm like "good, because you'll need a damn bowl to contain all this..."

Couple of points I noticed: 1) you cut the bread the old way, nice 2) not enough side tapping sauce off when scooping 3) shredded always slaps with the meatballs (could be preference) 4) one way to make it better is to scoop the dough out of the top, that way the meatballs sit flush like deli meat would 5) another fun technique is scooping dough off both sides, and putting the meatballs 2 top and 2 bottom. I usually would add bacon, then green peppers, onions, jalapenos with southwest before toasting.

Footlong regulation is 8 balls not 9 like you gave this one. Do this on every meatball sub and you lose out on like 5 foot longs which adds up. Secondly, you put said balls on the top half of the sub which is the weaker end plus when you close the sub you be handing them an upside down sandwich. Finally, im not even going to touch how you placed the cheese cause everyone messes that up. But for real? Do better!
