It's a nice apartment but it's pricy compared to what you can find in other italian cities. I'm in Pisa for instance and I live in a share house (we're in two, me and a cousin of mine) and we pay 600 € per month (plus 180 € every three month) and is more or less as big as the one you live in. Living in Milan doesn't come cheap! :)

ha ha Italians dry clothes on the balcony using a so-called "stendino" that actually is some sort of drying rack with wires on which you put clothes and they dry in the open air...old school, well now we use the dryer but student apartments aren't so well equipped

for the heat you could buy a small dehumidifier. Because at the end is humidity the real problem in Milan. Though this is your last year so you probably won't have to deal with it.
