The stores are exclusive and suck up to the richy rich loyal customers. They know they'll get more money from them in the future.

They don’t make commission in Europe. They get paid a solid salary and then the whole store can get bonuses if they hit certain sale quotas. Also she is a tourist and they want to save the best pieces for loyal local customers.
